Welcome to Yoga Nidra Morning Express.
This daily practice is designed to help you relax and energize your body and mind,
Heighten your awareness,
And prepare you for the day ahead.
As I speak,
I invite you to find a comfortable position where your feet are flat on the floor,
Whether that's seated in a chair or sitting on the ground with your back supported.
Now let's begin by placing awareness on different parts of your body.
Feel the energy of the earth enter the soles of your feet.
Now feel it rise to your ankles.
Your shins.
Your knees.
Your thighs.
Your hips.
Your pelvis.
Your torso,
Front and back.
Your clavicle and throat.
Your jaw.
Your cheeks.
Your eyes.
And to the top of your head.
Feel the energy like a warm light at the crown of your head,
Bringing calmness and clarity.
Now feel this calming energy spread down the back of your neck to your shoulders,
To your arms,
And now to your hands,
Finger by finger.
Take a deep breath and slow exhale and enjoy this refreshing alertness you now feel in your body and mind.
Notice any sounds you may hear in the room or from outside.
Simply recognize and welcome them.
Now notice any sensations on your skin or body without judgment.
Be aware of any thoughts that now may arise.
Thoughts of the day ahead or the day before.
Just give them a name.
That's a plan.
That's an idea.
Remembering that they hold no power on their own.
Now notice any feelings that may arise.
Try not to label them as good or bad.
They are simply information and evidence of your heightened awareness.
Please take another deep breath and slow exhale.
It is time to create your sankalpa,
The seed of intention for your day.
I would like to suggest I walk through this day with peace and purpose.
You may also choose your own sankalpa,
Keeping it in the present tense and positive.
Repeat your sankalpa three times silently as you breathe in and out.
Watch the words in your mind grow with greater power and dimension.
In and out.
Imagine these words and the calming energy you have created encircling you throughout your day,
Allowing you to take this practice with you.
Whether you return to it in your mind or just know that it resides within your being.
Imagine these words and calming energy encircling you throughout your day.
Remember you are awareness itself.
Your thoughts,
Feelings,
And sensations are fleeting,
But they are evidence of your true nature as awareness itself.
In a moment,
We will end our daily practice.
Repeating this practice as you start each day will help you improve your ability to harness awareness and live in greater peace.
So I invite you to come back tomorrow and sit with me again.
Please repeat your sankalpa silently one more time and thank yourself for showing up to today's practice.
Five,

Yoga Nidra is now over.
