Close your eyes if they are not yet closed and start to slow down your breathing,
Enjoying having nothing to do but breathe.
As the music begins,
Allow yourself to arrive,
Gently releasing whatever thoughts or feelings are stirring within you.
Let your breath soften whatever feels tight,
Guiding you home to the stillness within.
Continue to slow down your breathing even more,
Allowing every inhale to lengthen and every exhale to fall away with ease.
Feel your body yielding,
Shoulders dropping,
Jaw relaxing,
Belly softening.
Notice how every breath seems to whisper,
You are safe.
You can let go.
As the music gently moves through you,
Allow your awareness to rest in the quiet spaces between the notes.
Those small spaces where peace begins to form.
Bring your gentle awareness to any part of you that feels uneasy.
Don't judge it.
Just notice it.
It's okay to acknowledge what you see.
This is not a sign of weakness.
It is the beginning of strength.
Because truth,
When told,
Sets you free.
Allow the music to lift you on a current of well-being.
Nothing to control.
Nothing to understand.
Just feel the music washing over you,
Enjoying the surrender.
With every breath in,
Feel yourself becoming more centered.
With every breath out,
Release any struggles to the music.
Every concern.
Every detail.
Every worrisome and intrusive thought.
I invite you to softly say to yourself,
I surrender what I cannot hold.
Take a big breath in.
And as you slowly breathe out,
Release anything that has been unsettling.
With every breath in,
Notice your breath becoming lighter.
As that which has concerned you starts to travel further and further away,
Carried on the wings of music.
From this spaciousness,
Feel a subtle warmth beginning to rise from the base of your spine,
Up towards your heart,
Out through the top of your head,
Letting it go.
With every breath in,
Breathe light into the top of your head,
Breathing it deeply into your heart.
No effort required.
Because you are remembering.
You are remembering your life returning to its natural rhythm.
I invite you to repeat after me.
I am supported by something vast and loving.
That I may not be able to identify by name.
But that I can feel and know and trust.
Breathe slowly and gently in through your heart.
Drawing in more peace and well-being.
As you breathe out,
Feel yourself sharing that peace with the world.
Surrounding yourself with a bubble of protection and love.
The calm that you have been seeking has been inside of you all along.
You are the calm that you seek.
This is just a reminder.
Feel the music and your breath weaving together.
Becoming one with the calm that is breathing with you and within you.
You are not alone.
You don't have to carry this all on your own.
You are held and loved and guided and protected.
Rest in the stillness that is always there when the noise has been quieted.
You can find stillness amidst uncertainty.
