There is a younger part of each of us that once moved through the world with a smaller body and a nervous system that did not yet feel secure. Even when we grow up, that “inner child” can still carry moments of fear, overwhelm, or responsibility that never truly belonged to them. This meditation is not about reliving the past. It is about gently meeting that younger part of you from the steadiness of who you are now, so that you can come home to the safety that lives within. If at any point during the meditation what arises feels overwhelming, please pause. Open your eyes. Take a breath. Ground yourself in your surroundings. This is your meditation, meant to be done at your pace. If you are navigating deep childhood trauma or intense emotional distress, this meditation may be best explored alongside the support of a trained mental health professional. Your safety matters. When you’re ready, I invite you to gently step in.
