I used to blank out during exams and tests. I learned this visualization technique a little over 40 years ago--and used it for every exam that I ever wrote in university--and I never blanked out again.... In this meditation, one imagines that one's brain is a jet fighter, the plane taxis down the runway at the start of the exam, takes off, and one imagines it in flight throughout the exam. During the visualization, the meditator tests the jet's hyperdrive function--and during times of low confidence, fear, or anxiety during the exam, the meditator is reminded to recall the hyperdrive and thus refocus the mind to calmness.
