Hi,
Welcome.
My name is Joy Koneska.
I would live joyfully well.
And to celebrate this Easter,
We're going to do a meditation today that helps us to connect spiritually and to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I'll be sharing three Bible verses from the contemporary English version Bible,
But I personally use a few versions of the Bible to get a better understanding.
So if you'd like to use your own Bible version,
All the verses we're going to go through today are located in the description so you can follow along.
Now,
I personally believe that our eternal God wanted to show us the way to live and love others.
And the Bible stories show that Jesus loved all and was all inclusive.
In celebration of Jesus and the season of hope and renewal,
Love and eternal life.
Let's do this meditation together to share this.
So find yourself a safe and comfortable position that allows you to have a straight spine.
You can just find a position that allows you to breathe with ease.
Feel free to close your eyes or you can softly gaze over the tip of your nose to limit visual distractions and know that your mind may wander as you meditate and that's completely normal.
So when this happens,
Just bring yourself back to the meditation and back to the breath.
Remember to adjust the volume of my voice.
And meditation is an individual practice.
So only use me as a loose guide in your practice.
So let's get started.
Let's take a moment to find a place of relaxation.
Focus in on your breath.
Feel your breath.
Rising breath.
Falling breath.
The breath helps create a sense of peace and calm as you start to connect inward.
Relax the muscles of your forehead and feel your eyelids soften.
Your shoulders release and let go.
And your hips and legs feel grounded and secure.
And with your mind's eye,
Just scan your body and use your breath to visualize releasing tension.
Let go.
Release.
And be.
Let's take a moment to pray together.
But first I'm going to give just a moment of silence so that you can do your own prayer and say what's on your heart.
And if I don't give you enough time,
Feel free to pause this meditation.
Go ahead and start.
And we'll pray together.
Dear God,
Thank you for bringing your son to earth to show us how to live and love and show us through the resurrection that there is eternal life.
May this Easter remind us to connect our souls to you and to remind us that your path leads to a life of love,
Light,
Compassion,
Empathy,
Goodness,
Forgiveness,
Peace and joy.
As we meditate on the words of the Bible,
May you speak to our hearts.
Thank you for guiding us to light and love through the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Now I'm going to read just a couple of Bible verses.
I'll repeat each one twice and give you a few moments to meditate on what you've heard.
You can also read along in the description if you'd like.
Whatever feels better to you.
Here we go.
John 11 25.
Jesus then said,
I am the one who raises the dead to life.
Everyone who has faith in me will live even if they die.
John 11 25.
Jesus then said,
I'm the one who raises the dead to life.
Everyone who has faith in me will live even if they die.
2 Corinthians 5 17.
Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person.
The past is forgotten and everything is new.
2 Corinthians 5 17.
Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person.
The past is forgotten and everything is new.
1 Corinthians 16 14.
Show love in everything.
Everything you do.
1 Corinthians 16 14.
Show love in everything you do.
And take a moment to connect back with your breath and to this moment and feel the breath.
And assess how you feel right now spiritually,
Emotionally and physically.
Easter is a time to be grateful for the gift of life,
Love and joy.
I'll finish this meditation with the Lord's Prayer.
Our Father in heaven,
Help us to honor your name.
Come and set up your kingdom so that everyone on earth will obey you as you are obeyed in heaven.
Give us our food for today.
Forgive us for doing wrong as we forgive others and keep us from being tempted and protect us from evil.
Amen.
This guided meditation is now complete.
I want to thank you for joining me.
My name is Joy Koneska.
Have a blessed Easter.
