This guided visualization is aimed at reducing pain or changing your relationship with your pain. This deeply relaxing recording will encourage you to drift into a deep alpha state. You will then enter a healing pool and allow your pain to drift away from you into the healing waters.

Thank you for choosing to relax and unwind with well-being online.
You will shortly enjoy a deep state of relaxation and calm.
So much so,
Please do not attempt to drive or operate machinery whilst listening to this recording.
Please ensure you're sitting or lying comfortably and allow time for you.
Switch off any distractions in your environment and in your mind.
Close your eyes now.
Just notice how comfortable you're beginning to feel.
You're supported so you can just let go and relax.
Any sounds you hear from now on are unimportant as you just concentrate on my voice and continue to relax.
Just notice how comfortable you're beginning to feel.
You're supported so you can just let go.
And just notice your breathing for a moment.
Just notice your breathing.
Deep,
Even breathing.
Notice where the air enters the body and where it leaves the body.
And the deeper the breathing,
The deeper the sense of relaxation.
A gentle fascination around each breath in this moment.
Just here.
Right here.
Right now.
Deep,
Even breathing.
You'll be noticing the gentle rising and falling of each breath in this moment.
And each breath is just drawing you deeper and deeper into a state of total relaxation.
Drawing you down,
Feeling that gentle pull of gravity pulling you down and down and relaxing you more and more.
As everything begins to slow down now.
As you just concentrate on my voice and continue to relax.
Breathing deeply and evenly.
And let's begin with relaxing all the muscles in the face.
Especially the jaw.
The jaw is beginning to feel so heavy now.
So relaxed now.
The tongue sitting comfortably in the mouth.
And the jaw is beginning to feel more and more relaxed.
Heavier and heavier.
And this relaxed feeling.
This wonderful warming sensation is working its way into your temples now.
Deep into the tissues.
And as you think about relaxing these muscles they will relax.
Just feel them relax.
Make a beautiful massage.
Warming and relaxing.
Deeper and deeper.
And all the muscles in the forehead now.
Smooth and relaxed.
Smooth and relaxed.
And now rest your eyes.
Just imagine the eyelids feeling so comfortable.
So heavy.
And so relaxed.
Just double the relaxation in the eyelids.
And then double the relaxation again.
So the eyelids are feeling so heavy.
So heavy and so relaxed.
All those tiny muscles.
Just softening and loosening.
You may feel you can barely open those eyelids.
They're feeling so heavy.
And so relaxed.
And each breath you take is just drawing you deeper and deeper into total relaxation.
As everything slows down.
Feeling heavier and heavier.
Just feeling that gentle pull of gravity pulling you deeper and deeper into total relaxation.
And this warming relaxation is working its way into the back of your neck and your shoulders now.
The massage continues.
Deep into the tissues.
Warming.
Calming.
This sense of peace and wellbeing flowing through your whole body.
This sense of relaxation and warmth moves slowly down your back now.
Very slowly down your spine.
Down.
Down.
Deeper and deeper.
Right down to the base of your spine.
Letting all those muscles go.
Relaxing deeper and deeper.
And all the muscles in the arms right down to the fingertips relax.
You may feel you can barely lift those arms.
They're feeling so heavy.
So heavy and so relaxed.
You may have a tingling in your fingertips.
Or a warmth in the palms of your hands.
And that's perfectly fine.
That's just your body telling you you're beginning to relax.
In a very natural way.
And as you breathe out once more.
Just relax all the muscles in the chest.
Just let them go.
And all the muscles in the stomach feel them relax too.
And then feel that wave of relaxation working its way slowly down your legs now.
Right down to the tips of your toes.
So your whole body is just drifting and floating.
Deeper and deeper.
Relaxed.
And I would like you to imagine a scale.
Where a hundred is as wake as you can be with your eyes closed.
Going right down to zero which is just before sleep.
And I wonder what it would be like to see where you are right now.
And then just allow yourself to drift.
A few notches down.
Down towards zero.
Down towards sleep.
Just drifting deeper and deeper.
Down towards zero.
Down towards sleep.
And to feel unbelievably relaxed now.
Unbelievably calm now.
As you just drift and float.
Deeper and deeper.
Down towards zero.
Down towards sleep.
Drifting.
Floating.
Heavier and heavier.
Down.
Down towards zero.
And sleep.
Zero.
And sleep.
Drifting and floating deeper and deeper.
Heavier.
Heavier.
Down towards zero.
Down towards sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Taking yourself right down to the basement level of total relaxation now.
And because you're so relaxed and continuing to relax.
I'd like you to imagine 10 steps leading you down to a beautiful place.
A beautiful place.
A place of comfort.
Peace and tranquility.
Of safety and of healing.
A warm woodland glade where you can feel comfortable.
Your mind and body rested.
A place where you can return at any time.
And you feel that you belong here.
That you are valued and loved here.
And those feelings of comfort grow deeper and deeper.
As you take the steps down to this beautiful place.
Ten.
Drifting deeper and deeper.
Nine.
Eight.
Relaxing more and more.
Seven.
Six.
Five.
Twice as relaxed as before.
Four.
Deeper.
Deep.
Three.
Two.
And one.
And as you drift and move deeper into this place.
The ground soft and springy beneath your step.
The sunlight,
The branches and the foliage of the trees.
The subtle sounds of wonders of nature calming you.
Causing you to easily let go and rest so deeply now.
You find yourself by a pool of crystal clear water.
The pool is filled with natural spring water that is heated by nature's own forces.
Steam rises from its gentle bubbling surface.
The pool looks so inviting and so comforting.
Restful and peaceful.
And you can begin to see.
Sense or imagine yourself easing into the waters of the pool.
You find the convenient rocky ledge that supports you.
And you feel so light.
So weightless here.
As the soothing waters rise to cover your chest.
And your shoulders.
You have no concerns or fears.
As the waters bubble around you.
Massaging and comforting every part of you.
The gentle heat of the waters relax you.
Soothe you.
And your sense of gentle stimulation of the swirling waters.
The bubbles massage your skin with a gentle penetrating warmth.
As the soft sensations surround you.
Penetrating deep into your muscles.
Into your bones.
Soothing your nerves.
Working on every cell and every fibre of your being.
Causing you to relax even more.
Even deeply than before.
As the waters swirl.
And the gentle heat penetrates deep within you.
Releasing all discomfort and pain.
Washed away by the gentle healing flow.
You relax even deeper now.
Allowing the massaging effect of the healing waters to concentrate on those parts of you.
Joints and muscles.
And you feel those parts relax.
Everything is soothed away.
You experience a sense of release.
Of freedom.
Peace and comfort that permeates your whole being.
You settle even deeper into relaxation now.
As the waters continue to massage.
To comfort you.
Every part of your body.
You feel so comfortable.
Everything is flowing away from you.
Your body becomes calmer.
More peaceful.
Allowing itself to repair and to heal.
Allowing you some quiet time for yourself to continue to bathe in that soothing,
Warming water.
As it massages you.
And you continue now to let everything simply flow away.
And now you're feeling so rested.
Comforted.
So completely relaxed.
And you can see.
You can sense or imagine yourself leaving the warm waters of the pool.
Knowing that you can return at any time.
And as you recline now on a grassy bank.
The ground soft beneath you.
Supporting you.
You feel warm and comfortable.
Tranquil and relaxed.
Gazing into the blue of the sky above.
Fixing your attention now onto a low cloud overhead.
The cloud acts for you like a cinema screen.
And onto the screen you can see projected the image of your body.
And you see this image with those areas of your body that have been causing you problems.
Clearly defined.
Now your breathing slows as your body rests.
You see those areas clearly defined.
Now bathed in a warm and gentle soft blue light.
A light that surrounds those areas.
Covers those areas.
Bathing them in a healing aura.
That begins to shrink.
To diminish.
And as you know.
That as the healing aura diminishes.
That light is absorbing.
Just like a sponge absorbs water.
And you watch as these pools of light grow smaller.
And smaller.
Continuing to shrink.
With each outward breath.
With each gentle beat of your heart.
Growing smaller now.
As that sense of relief.
Of release.
Increases.
You know that you're freeing yourself easily.
Freeing yourself.
Right now.
Allow the light to absorb more and more.
Drawing it in.
Cleansing.
Freeing.
And leaving pleasurable sensations.
As the light shrinks down to just small dots.
Now you watch and observe the dots.
As you watch.
These dots burst open.
These dots burst open.
Changing to a gentle blue mist that flows outward from your body.
Rising towards the sun.
Which evaporates them.
Eliminating them.
And you feel totally free now.
And as you bring your attention back to the screen.
You see that your body is completely bathed in white light now.
Blue light is all gone.
And this white light acts like a silky,
Creamy ointment.
That lubricates your joints.
Soothes your muscles.
And cleanses every cell.
And every fibre of your being.
Your nerves are soothed and calmed.
And every part of you continues to relax.
And your perfect subconscious mind is instructed and activated now to make peace.
Relief.
And comfort.
And freedom.
Your natural way of being as it continues to work.
Night and day to make this reality.
Directing relief.
As and where needed.
Anticipating your body's needs.
Doing all that is needed to keep you comfortable and relaxed.
And now as you continue to watch that screen.
I want you to allow another image to appear.
An image that represents the healing.
The comfort and release that has taken place.
Allow this image to develop becoming clearer.
More vivid.
And now imagine this healing image becoming stronger now.
More powerful now.
More vivid.
Focus clearly and powerfully on this image.
And sense,
Feel and imagine that it is taking place right in your body.
In all the right areas.
Let the sensation be one of healing.
Know that this is happening right now.
And that healing,
Happiness and comfort continue.
Within you wherever you are.
Here resting,
Sleeping or going about your daily activities.
Know that healing,
Comfort and pleasant sensations are your reality.
And so it is that healing,
Comfort,
Happiness and pleasant sensations are your reality.
And you realise and understand that your body and mind are always alert.
And if any situation arises within your body that requires your attention.
Then that information is communicated to you quickly,
Accurately.
And your pure subconscious mind knows that once attention has been drawn to an area that needs attention.
It will release them.
Allowing them to maintain your feelings of peace,
Relaxation and comfort.
I am now going to give you some trigger words.
Whenever you want to boost your positive thinking.
Intensify your subconscious activity in producing good feelings and wellness.
You simply close your eyes,
Breathe deeply.
Exhale slowly and say to yourself easy control.
You breathe deeply.
Exhale slowly and you say to yourself easy control.
Feeling of wellness,
Feeling of freedom,
Feeling of comfort.
And as you leave this place now you feel yourself moving into a bright new day.
A brand new day where you enjoy now a feeling of higher attitude,
More positivity.
An almost overwhelming sense of well being.
You sense calm and knowledge that you belong and you are happy.
And you can create your own reality now.
You are relaxed,
Calm and happy.
Your body relaxes naturally.
You deserve to be healthy.
You deserve to be loved.
You are stronger and wiser.
Your thoughts are healing,
Nurturing.
And you now release the past to make way for a glorious new present.
Love and healing.
Free,
You are free to choose and accept peace,
Health and happiness.
Your sleep is relaxed and refreshed.
And you grow stronger and stronger every day to a more subtle level.
And in a moment I'm going to count to ten.
On the count of ten you'll open your eyes and feel good about yourself.
