The Cathedral of Flowers.
Hello and welcome to the house of your deeper wisdom.
They all say,
Love yourself.
They say love yourself.
Like it's this easy thing you can just turn on.
The simplest of instructions.
It could possibly be easier,
My friend.
How?
How does one do that?
When the conditioned world directs us to the mundane,
Well-trodden paths.
How does one do that when the training society has supplied has been so strict,
So brutal,
Through non-separation?
Love one's self.
Love one's life.
Love life and all it entails.
The good,
The bad,
The hard,
And the soft.
The true,
The false.
Love consciousness,
Godliness,
Joy,
And pain.
Love all of that.
For that is you also.
The suffering is your brother.
The fear your sister.
But blood is blood,
My friend.
You might allow yourself to sit calmly,
Gently,
In the Cathedral of Flowers,
And just be.
This Cathedral of Flowers can be a magical place of your own making,
Doing,
Being,
Receiving.
It is all your nobility and honour,
The dignity that is you,
Of life.
Sparkling the senses,
Divining grace.
To love yourself is to love what's here,
What's there.
To love yourself is to love and share,
Warts and all.
And love is freedom.
And so it is to free what's there,
What's here,
Warts and all.
Accept,
Honour,
And abide.
They say love yourself,
Heal yourself.
I say,
Sit in the Cathedral of Flowers,
And hum quietly to your own ears.
Place a hand softly on your own heart.
Write a poem for you and you alone.
Then cast it bravely in the river of life,
And watch the waters nourish this Cathedral.
Your Cathedral of Flowers.
Love yourself is not hide the pain.
It is not pretense or showmanship.
Love yourself is sometimes the fingers grip as you hang over the cliff,
Knowing you're going to fall.
To love is to fall,
And rise and fall,
Without need or preference or righteousness.
For love cannot be right.
Just as the Cathedral of Flowers cannot be anything other than a place where your senses rise and kiss the love of all things.
Love yourself is explore yourself,
Leaving no stone unturned.
Let the darkest corners be dark.
Be there,
You.
Be there for the exploration.
Hum to your own ears in the Cathedral of Flowers.
Thank you.
