Beauty is defined as the quality in something or someone that gives pleasure to the senses,
A satisfaction to the mind and spirit.
What would it be like to live seeking the beauty in all things?
What would it be like to pull the richness from every moment?
What would it be like to have eyes that look for and seize the best in others?
What would it be like to live a life as a beauty hunter?
As easy as it is to see the world through a dark lens,
It can also be viewed through a lens of light.
The light may be faint at first.
It may be very dim,
Fighting hard to shine through the weighted layers of darkness.
But it's there.
Give it time to make its way to you.
We can choose to see the darker side of humanity or remain aware of it and instead choose the path to light.
What if you chose to take each moment and look for the joy,
The humor,
The lesson,
The growth,
The good in others,
The magnificence that surrounds you?
The question is,
Are you open?
Are you open to new perspectives?
Are you willing to view people differently?
Are you willing to rewrite old stories for new ones,
Replacing outdated beliefs that no longer serve you?
Can you rise above the clouds?
Breathe and close your eyes.
Breathe deeply.
Gently bring your focus on what's good.
What is working in your life right now?
Bring it to mind.
What's one thing working in your relationships?
What's one thing working in your family?
What's working with your career or your interests?
What's one thing that brings you joy?
What's one person that makes you happy?
What's one thing you love about yourself?
See the ray of light shining from each of these.
All these rays of light together,
See them uniting as one.
Focus and magnify them to now be staring into the light.
Stay here.
Feel its warmth.
If you're looking for it,
My love,
You'll find it.
We can see beauty all around us,
From the big to the very small.
See the miracles in nature.
How the bumblebee knows its role.
How tree leaves know when it's time to let go.
The beautiful brush strokes of a painting.
The laughter of a child.
To our body's remarkable ability to heal itself.
Are you able to find beauty in life's greatest challenges?
Can you see failure as an opportunity to grow or offer you the gift of a lesson?
Can you find peace and uncertainty?
Falling in love with and finding excitement from the unseen path.
Can you allow calmness to surround the unanswered questions in your heart?
Finding peace in you're not supposed to know right now.
Can you see pain as your miraculous ability to feel something so deeply?
How it strengthens you?
Making you more resilient to weather storms?
Can you find beauty in adversity where positive change is born?
Giving the needed resistance to evolve.
Opportunities to unite and take action with like-minded people bonding through the struggle.
Can you see the beauty in others,
Even the most difficult?
Can you see how they're trying to do their best,
Dealing with their own struggles,
Their own challenges,
Their own pain?
Are you able to find what connects you,
How you can relate and empathize with them?
Can you see your disagreements as the beauty of your uniqueness?
Can you see lost love as space created for rebirth?
Findings leading to new beginnings.
Can you connect with the reason God put this person in your life to begin with?
Out of all the people in the world living at different times,
What were you to learn from them and take with you on your journey?
Can you break down?
Can you hold on for your breakthrough?
A life lived not of I have to's,
But I get to.
I'm blessed to.
As light fights its way through the darkness,
Are you doing your part to see it?
Before the cloud of worry and stress envelops your day,
Fight to see the light.
Fight for the truth of a new day.
Stay connected to the precious yet fleeting gift this all is.
Loving all of it as hard as you can.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Said,
Darkness cannot drive out darkness.
Only light can do that.
Light cannot drive out hate.
Only love can do that.
