Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down,
And gently close your eyes and let your body be fully supported.
Relax and take a deep breath in and exhale completely.
Welcome back to yourself,
Back to your heart.
Now let the breath soften as you arrive in this moment.
Let the mind rest as the day melts into the earth beneath you.
Here there is nothing you need to carry,
You can just be.
Bring a hand or both hands to your heart and feel your heartbeat.
Feel yourself breathing.
Feel your presence and begin to listen inward.
How is my heart this evening?
Not how your day was,
But how you are.
Just notice and witness what your heart is holding.
Ask yourself,
What have I done for my heart today?
Was I living with my heart and mind?
Where did you shine your light today?
And let's just take a moment to accept what all has come and take a breath in and breathe it out.
Allow the breath to slow and deepen now.
Let the heart soften beneath your hand and begin to visualize a gentle stream of cool silver or moonlit water flowing over your body,
Coming down from the crown of your head,
Down your spine,
Over your shoulders,
Your chest and belly,
Down into your arms and hands,
Flowing down to your legs and pooling around your feet.
And now what is left is your heart glowing with a bright golden light,
Fully alive with love.
Allow that glow to fill your chest and gently radiate outwards through your arms,
Down your spine,
Into your belly and legs,
And let your whole body feel wrapped in the presence and glow of your own heart.
You might softly say,
I honor the wisdom of my heart.
I return to this truth of who I am.
Let this be your prayer,
Your rhythm,
Your truth.
Your heart has done enough.
You have done enough.
You are enough.
And even now in stillness,
Your light remains.
And when you're ready,
Just take a few soft deep breaths,
Gently returning back to your awareness,
Into your body,
Feeling the space around you.
And breathe deeply into your heart one last time.
And exhale.
Feel how full it is,
How alive it is,
Even in this stillness.
And bringing your hands into heart center,
Collecting your light,
Bowing to your light.
And let your body surrender to this night.
