Dissecting the Wisdom of Shaltazar is a series of discussions between Mark Layne & myself. Each week we will be discussing a different message & how you can apply that wisdom to your life. Our desire is to help you integrate & embody this wisdom so you can improve your life significantly. In this intro to the series, we talk about our spirituality & how we came to work together. Mark explains his first impressions of the teachings of Shaltazar & why we decided to create this series.

Jeffrey Eisen, And I am with Mark Lane, My collaborator and my good friend, And we're starting a new series called Dissecting the Wisdom of Shaltazar. And in this new series, Well, Before we get to the new series, We just wanted to, In this introductory session, Tell you a bit about ourselves, How we came together, And what we're going to be doing in this new series. My name is Jeffrey Eisen, As I mentioned. I'm a spiritual life coach, The channeler of Shaltazar, And an energy intuitive. And a number of years ago, When I turned 50, I went on a journey of self-discovery. I had been working in the corporate world for over 30 years, And I realized that something was missing in my life. And I began to work on myself. And part of working on myself was the practice of journaling, Early morning journaling. I would get up every morning at 5 o'clock, And I would meditate and listen to quiet music and sit in silence and journal. In the beginning, My journaling was simply a dumping out of some of the, What I would call inner garbage, Some of the inner blocks that I had, Some of my emotional blocks. And as I dumped it onto the page, I would feel better and better. And I kept the practice up after I, I think, Cleaned the swamp sufficiently that I could see more clearly. And I would find myself asking questions, Bigger life questions, And I would just, In a very free-flowing, Core journaling way, I would just write and write and write, And not really being paying attention to what was coming through the pen. When I was finished the entry, I would reread it, And I happened to reread it to my wife, And she would say, Where's that coming from? And I said, I don't know. It feels a little mystical to me. It feels a little bit beyond me, But it feels pretty wise, So I'm going to pay attention to it. And I always thought it was just me. It was part of my evolution in my, In my journey of self-discovery, In my journey of awakening. And I would reread those messages and try to practice some of the advice that was coming through. What I found after a while was that this stuff was too good to keep to myself, And I needed to share it. And so I wanted to find a way to do so in a more sensory way. I was able to find someone who put me in touch with someone who had a recording studio in their basement. I went and recorded these messages. I had to sift through the years and years of journals to pick out what I thought were the most profound, And I picked 16 of them, And we created a two-disc CD. And I'm sure some of the listeners are wondering, What is a CD? Believe it or not, That was something that was around for a long time. And we created original music for that. I continued to journal, I continued to channel, And I wanted to find a new way after the CDs didn't take off. I still have 500 of them in my locker in the condo, So if anybody wants a CD, Let me know. And so I started to create Kaleidoscope videos with these, And I put them on my website, And my greatest desire was to share them with the world. Fast forward a number of years, I found Insight Timer, And that opened things up for me. I began to publish and upload these messages, These channelings, This wisdom from Shalt Azhar on Insight Timer, And a lot of people seemed to enjoy it, A lot of people seemed to listen to it, And I started to connect with some amazing people. And that is the point where my good friend and collaborator Mark Lane came into the picture. Mark, Why don't you tell people a bit about yourself, About your spiritual journey before we hooked up, And then continue the story of what happened when you and I decided to collaborate. Sure. Thanks, Jeffrey. Wow. So I am a spiritual seeker who's been spending most of his time in the real estate business in the Chicago area. I would say that my spiritual journey began sometime in college, I would say. I was raised in a pretty traditional Roman Catholic family, And I can point back to a time in college where I went for a brief period of time to the University of North Dakota, And the roommate I had up there was kind of an iconoclast, An irreverent but brilliant photographer, Who is still a photographer, I believe, For the Los Angeles Times. He was one of those people who challenged everything. He challenged authority, He challenged the belief systems of almost everybody, And he was pretty well versed in multiple religions. So he understood Buddhism, He understood a lot of the Eastern religions, And he was also a Catholic. And he would engage the dorm room in these very heated debates over religion and the meanings of a lot of the rituals and things that people placed a lot of credence and importance on. And it just kind of got me to thinking that, I guess maybe it made me realize that I never really resonated with the religion I was raised under, And it just didn't make sense to me at some level. And so when we started talking about these things, It started making even less sense to me. And that's when I started questioning everything. And I would say probably at that point, I started seeking out more information, Looking for books, Teachers. They say when the student is ready, The teacher will appear. And so a number of books that kind of led me down different paths and kind of opened me up to different spiritual concepts, And it's been a long journey that's still continuing to this day. I guess I've been in the real estate business, But my true love is writing. I'm a writer. Jeffrey has reminded me that I'm a good writer. I'm not sure that I believed that before we met, But I do now. And so my hope is to use the written word to kind of bring some of these spiritual concepts to mankind in an easily digestible way. And I think that's been my goal for quite some time. And I stumbled across Insight Timer. I don't remember how I found it. I think I was playing around in apps, Perhaps Headspace or one of the other apps, And somebody said, Oh, Have you ever looked at Insight Timer? And so I checked it out, And I've become addicted to it ever since. I do a meditation from Insight Timer almost every morning. And in the morning when I open it up, There's the meditations of the day. There's maybe 30 meditations that pop up, And they could be talks. They could be meditations. It could be music. There's a whole variety of different things that pop up. And one of those days, I don't know how long ago it was now. It's over a year ago, I believe. I stumbled across a message from Shaltazar, And I was like, Oh, That's interesting. I had no idea what it was. It sounded metaphysical, And I enjoy looking for nuggets of wisdom. And so I listened to it, And I was kind of blown away. It really resonated with me. And I don't remember which message it was, The first one that I listened to. I could probably go back and find it because I'm sure I bookmarked it. But it really stuck with me. And I remember it made such an impression on me that I left a comment for Jeffrey after I listened. And Jeffrey responded, And we kind of connected there. And the rest is sort of history. So since then, We've been working to get Jeffrey and Evan working together. I've been writing down some of my impressions of these Shaltazar messages, And we talk about them. And Jeffrey posts them on his website very kindly. And it's kind of my own take on the wisdom and kind of what it means to me, How it impacted me, What I got from it, What I took from it. And it's been fun. We've been doing different things together. We just completed a series of 11 messages on pandemic positivity, Kind of talking about trying to pull back from the fear and from the disillusionment of this pandemic and trying to find some meaning in all of it that might be beyond what most people are considering. Yes, Thank you very much, Mark, For that background. And hopefully, Our relationship, Our collaboration is an inspiration to other people because I firmly believe that we are entering a new era of collaboration and cooperation. And I love how our relationship has evolved to first chatting about the messages of Shaltazar, Then you writing the series of articles called Impressions of Shaltazar, Then us doing this audio series on promoting pandemic positivity. And we had so much fun that we said, Let's keep this going. And we decided the best way to do that is to go back to the roots in terms of how we met, Which is the wisdom of Shaltazar. And so we're starting this series called Dissecting the Wisdom of Shaltazar. And what we will be doing every week is picking a particular message. I'm going to let Mark do it because he has a little bit more objectivity. And we will both be reviewing that message and then having a short conversation about our impressions of it. One of the things that I found about the wisdom of Shaltazar is they are very high level master teachings and you need to peel them away. You need to dissect them. You need to comment on them. You need to discuss them in order for them to have greater value. And so that is what we are doing together. And hopefully we'll inspire you to look deeper into the wisdom. When we decided a few weeks ago to do this, I asked Mark to have a look at those messages because we really didn't know how we were going to proceed with this series. And he reviewed them. I knew that I was going to get some guidance in terms of how it was going to go. That's certainly very different than the old me that needed to be in control and know exactly what we were going to do. I simply surrendered and said, You know, If it's meant to be, We'll come up with a way of doing this. And so in the last few weeks, Mark has looked over a bunch of the messages and given me some impressions. And I just asked him before we started this recording what that process was like. And I would love you to share it with the listeners because I think that is going to be the foundation for what we hope to achieve is your experience and how we hope other people will have similar experiences. So you reviewed some of the messages. I asked you to do so, So we'd get an idea of what this series, Dissecting the Wisdom of Shaltazar would be all about. Tell me your experience about it, Mark. Sure. Yeah, It was an interesting experience. As I said, The first time I listened to the messages, They tend to really hit me at a very visceral level. I really feel the wisdom coming into me. And I kind of have a little system of, You know, I'll listen to the message, I'll print out the PDF of the message written out, And then I'll read it and listen to it again. And it has a very powerful impact on me. I mean, I seem to have a deep connection to this wisdom and the voice that Jeffrey gives it. And I noticed as I was reading the printed out messages the first time, I would make little notes in the column or little stars or highlight paragraphs or whatever that jumped out at me as being important or really relevant to what I was experiencing at the time. And then when I pulled them out of the folder this past week and sat and looked through them, I mentioned this to Jeffrey, I looked at some of my little highlights and notes or stars or notations I made in the margins, And I scratched my head a little bit because I was like, You know, What was I seeing there? What was it that was jumping out at me? And even just reading through the messages, I noticed that the energy was a little bit different. It was definitely different than when I first experienced it. And if I had to describe it, I would say that the first time I experienced it, Like I said, It was a very visceral, Very, Very feeling sense of the wisdom coming to me. And then in this recent rereading, It was definitely more of a mental or a mind focused appreciation of the material. And I didn't have the same experience. And I started to wonder why. You know, What was different between my first experience with the material and this most recent review of it? And I think, I mean, What I feel that it is, Is when you first experience it, First read it, First hear it, It is very powerful. And it's, I would call it, At least from my point of view, It's life changing. And so when I went back to it the second time recently, I wasn't the same person that experienced it the first time. I had changed. And so my relationship to the material had changed as well and it evolved into something a little bit different. You know, Some of those concepts have become integrated into my life, Into my being, And they don't seem as foreign or surprising or as wow as they did when I first experienced them. But as I am reading and rereading, Different things jump out at me, Different parts of it. And like Jeffrey said, It's like an onion. It's like layers of an onion. You know, You see the tough outer skin of the onion first, And then you peel that away and there's something a little bit softer and whiter inside and you peel that away some more and you get to something that's even more white and perhaps more fragrant or whatever. And it seems like that that's kind of how this material works. It's meant to be experienced multiple times on multiple levels and you get something different out of it every time, Which I think is really remarkable. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I thank you so much for being so eloquent in sharing that because I believe that's consistent with a lot of the spiritual learning that we spiritual seekers go through. There's that sense of mysticism and awe and then it disappears. And when we re-listen to it again, It doesn't feel that way. And you're being extremely polite and I appreciate it because when we talked about this, You used the word stale. And after I pulled a knife out of my heart saying, Oh my God, He thinks it's stale and set my ego aside, I realized you're absolutely right. That is a great way to describe it. It's stale because I've been there, Done that, Bought the t-shirt. And that's why what we hope to be doing in dissecting the wisdom of Shaltazar is putting a fresh approach on it, A different perspective. And I encourage people to do that with all of their spiritual wisdom. The spiritual wisdom is so deep, It has so many layers to it that whether it's the wisdom of Shaltazar or the stuff that other great spiritual masters have brought forth, Find ways of keeping it new, Find ways of having conversations, Find ways of dissecting it, Of going deeper, Because that wisdom will keep growing and will keep manifesting in different ways. And that's really what we want to do with this series is to help you, The listener, As well as helping ourselves. There's a little bit of selfishness in this as well. As Mark and I will be having these conversations in the weeks to come, We know that we are going to get new nuggets. We're going to get new perspectives. We're going to get new ways of looking at that wisdom that will help our life. And we just want to share that conversation with you, The listener, So hopefully you can appreciate it and be on this journey with us. So what we hope to do in the coming weeks, What our intention is, Is that each week we will be picking one of the messages. Mark will be picking one of the messages from Shaltazar. We're both going to refresh our memory on them, And then we're going to jump on a recording, And we're going to share our perspectives.
