Taking a deep breath in through your nose.
Counting for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And hold and slowly hiss out your air until it is gone.
Let's do that together.
Breathing in for a count of four.
Holding and hissing.
Let's do that one more time.
Deep breath in for four through your nose.
Hold and hiss.
Keep repeating this breathing pattern as I speak.
This attack is not your fault.
Your body is just protecting you from the fear or from the trauma.
You are not anxiety.
Breathing in.
Hold and hiss.
If you are able,
Start slowly snapping your fingers.
Both hands together.
And then one hand back and forth.
Then again together.
And then back and forth.
One at a time.
Remember to keep that breathing.
Snapping those hands.
Slow down that snapping.
Deep breath in.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold and release.
You are strong.
You are loved.
You are light.
And you are worthy.
