Have you ever found yourself wanting something deeply?
A healthier relationship?
A meaningful career?
A life that feels expansive and aligned?
A version of yourself that feels confident,
Grounded,
And fulfilled.
And yet,
There is a quiet realization that sometimes comes with wanting something new.
The person who receives that reality may require you to become someone new as well.
Not because you are not already worthy.
Not because you are not already enough.
But because growth often asks us to expand our capacity to hold what we desire.
I think there is a powerful idea in the concept of alignment.
The idea that what we experience externally is often connected to what is happening internally.
Not in a way that says we are responsible for every difficult thing that happens to us.
Life is complex.
Unexpected things happen.
People experience challenges that are not reflections of their worth or their energy.
But there is a part of life where we do have influence.
The way we see ourselves.
The way we treat ourselves.
The boundaries we maintain.
The standards we honor.
The choices we repeatedly make.
These things shape the reality we participate in.
Sometimes we say,
I want someone who respects me.
But then we have to ask,
Do I respect myself enough to walk away from what doesn't?
Sometimes we say,
I want emotionally safe relationships.
But then we have to ask,
Have I learned how to communicate my needs honestly?
Have I learned how to tolerate the vulnerability of being seen?
Sometimes we say,
I want a life that feels expansive.
But then we have to ask,
Am I willing to become the person who can handle that expansion?
Because receiving something beautiful often requires the ability to sustain it.
A person can desire love deeply,
But if they do not believe they are worthy of it,
They may unconsciously push away the very thing they want.
A person can desire success,
But if they fear visibility,
They may avoid opportunities that would allow them to grow.
A person can desire freedom,
But if they are attached to old identities,
They may struggle to step into a new version of themselves.
This is not about judging ourselves.
It is about becoming curious.
What parts of ourselves are ready to expand?
What beliefs are ready to be released?
What patterns are asking to be transformed?
Because sometimes the thing standing between us and what we desire isn't a lack of opportunity.
Sometimes it's the version of ourselves we have outgrown.
The beautiful thing is that growth does not require us to become someone completely different.
It asks us to return to more of who we already are.
To become more honest,
More courageous,
More self-respecting,
More aligned.
Think about a person who wants a partner who honors their boundaries.
Part of becoming aligned with that relationship may be learning to honor their own boundaries first.
A person who wants a partner who communicates openly may need to practice expressing their own feelings honestly.
A person who wants someone emotionally available may need to become comfortable with their own emotions instead of running from them.
We often look outside ourselves for the qualities we want to receive.
But sometimes life invites us to develop those qualities within ourselves first.
Not because we have to earn love,
Not because we have to prove we're deserving,
But because we naturally recognize and sustain what we have learned to embody.
What we tolerate changes.
What we notice changes.
What we believe is possible changes.
And as we grow,
The things that once felt normal may no longer feel aligned.
That is growth.
Sometimes the greatest sign of transformation is realizing.
The old version of me would have accepted this.
The new version of me knows I need something different.
That doesn't mean becoming better than others.
It means becoming more honest with yourself.
So if there is something you are calling into your life,
I invite you to ask yourself,
Who do I need to become to hold this?
What qualities do I need to strengthen?
What fears do I need to release?
What promises do I need to make to myself?
Because your future is not created only by what you desire.
It is created by the relationship you build with yourself along the way.
The goal is not to become perfect before receiving what you want.
The goal is to become aligned enough to recognize it,
Welcome it,
And nurture it when it arrives.
You are always becoming.
And every choice you make is an opportunity to move closer to the person you are meant to be.
Thank you for sharing this time with me today.
May you continue growing into the version of yourself who can receive,
Appreciate,
And sustain the beautiful things you are calling into your life.
Namaste.
