When your mind is always preparing for the next task, solving the next problem, or taking care of everyone else, it can be difficult to simply switch off. This gentle somatic meditation is designed for those moments when worry, overthinking, and high-functioning stress keep your mind alert even when it's finally time to rest. You'll be guided through physiological sighs, slow extended exhales, grounding body awareness, and a gentle body scan to help release physical tension and step out of constant doing. For the next few minutes, you don't need to solve anything, manage anything, or hold everything together. Let the surface beneath you support your weight, allow your body to soften, and give yourself permission to put some of it down. Come back to this practice whenever your mind won't switch off and you need a quiet place to pause, breathe, and begin again.
