Welcome to this short breath practice to interject a little bit of space into your day to slow down for just a moment.
What we're going to be doing here is just six deep breaths together.
And so inviting you,
If it's safe to do so,
Closing down the eyes,
Getting comfortable in a seated or lying down position.
We're going to breathe in through the nose,
Filling the belly up into the chest,
And then a long slow exhale.
And so here we go together,
Being as present as we can with the breath entering and leaving our body.
That's all you have to do.
Let's keep it super simple and beginning in three,
Two,
One.
Inhale through the nose,
Into the belly,
Up into the chest.
Pause at the top.
Take one more small sip in and exhale.
Long,
Slow,
And controlled.
Feel the shoulders drop down.
Again,
Inhale through the nose,
Into the belly,
Up into the chest.
Pause.
One small sip and exhale.
Allow the cheeks,
The jaw,
The muscles around the eyes to soften.
Inhale.
Pause at the top.
One more small sip and exhale,
Releasing any stress,
Any pressure,
Any tension,
Letting the overwhelm and anxiety melt away on the exhale.
As you feel the body relax,
Inhale through the nose,
Into the belly,
Up into the chest.
Full breath in.
Pause at the top.
One more small sip and exhale.
Inhale in,
Drawing life,
Drawing peace and presence up into the body.
Notice how it feels to draw oxygen in.
Pause at the top.
Enjoying the stillness,
Feel the fullness in your chest,
Your entire torso,
The pressure.
Take one more small sip in and exhale all the way out.
And we're gonna do one more breath here.
Together,
Final breath,
Biggest one we've taken all day.
Inhale through the nose,
Into the belly,
Up into the chest.
Pause here.
Enjoy this presence,
This moment of breath for you.
This is your time.
This is your space.
Enjoy it.
Take one more small sip in.
Hold for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
And release.
All the way out.
Letting go completely of the breath.
Noticing for a moment what's going on in your body,
Any sensations,
Any subtleties of feelings.
Allow yourself just to be breathed as you become the witness for a moment.
Just observe.
Lastly,
I'd invite you to thank yourself for taking this moment in your day to slow down,
To connect to yourself,
To connect to your body so that you can go out into the world and show up as a more patient,
Kind,
Loving,
Fully expressed,
Confident version of yourself.
Have a beautiful day.
