Take a pause.
Welcome to this space,
A safe space for you to connect with your inner self,
To seek and receive the reassurance and comfort that you need today.
Take a moment to get cosy.
Grab whatever you need to feel as if you are in your safest space.
Maybe that's a favourite cushion or blanket.
Perhaps it's feeling your feet on the earth in your garden.
Whatever you feel drawn to,
That's okay.
You can close your eyes if you wish,
Or leave them open with a soft focus at a point somewhere in front of you.
Now take a deep breath,
Inhaling through your nose,
Pause and exhale through your mouth,
Releasing any emotion you hold within.
Imagine a beach.
You're standing on the edge of the shore.
It's a bright,
Sunny day.
You can feel the sunshine on your body as you watch the waves rolling in and out in their gentle rhythm.
Emotions are like the waves.
They come and they go.
Sometimes they're fierce,
Sometimes they're gentle.
Tune in and let your waves flow and break,
Expending the energy of emotion on the shore.
It's such a bright day.
You turn your face to the sun.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Imagining that you are breathing in the bright,
White sunlight.
It illuminates every corner of your body and soul.
Exhale.
Inhale the empowering,
Cleansing sunlight as it sweeps into the corners of doubt and despair and sends it out as you exhale.
There's no longer any room for it there.
Hold that image of the light within your body as you breathe gently in and out through your nose naturally.
Notice how your body feels without judgment.
Allow it to soften and relax.
And say to yourself,
Either in your mind or out loud,
I am me.
I am who I'm meant to be.
I release my doubts and insecurities.
I am me.
I am who I'm meant to be.
I release my doubts and insecurities.
Now we'll move on to some empowering affirmations.
You can either listen and absorb them or repeat those that resonate with you.
I deserve to walk through my life on my own path without comparison to others.
I deserve a loving relationship.
I deserve a safe home.
I deserve to exercise without worrying that I'm not doing it right.
I deserve to follow my dreams despite what others might say.
I am me.
I am who I'm meant to be.
I release my doubts and insecurities.
Now in your mind,
You stand tall.
You turn your body once more to face the waves and open your arms wide.
You feel braver and stronger.
You shout out,
I am good enough.
I am enough.
Let this image fade now,
But bring that feeling of strength with you.
Sit with it for a moment.
Now slowly begin to move your body,
Stretching it if you wish.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Ready for the rest of your day.
You can return to this meditation regularly to increase that feeling of empowerment and to remind yourself that you are good enough.
