In the name of Love and Beloved Divine Welcome to Persian Poetry The Book of Masnavi by Maulana Rumi Today I'm gonna share with you the first poem in the Book of Masnavi by Beloved Hazratam Maulana known as Rumi The Book of Masnavi begins with the tale of the reed flute A lesson to the reed,

How it tells a tale,

Complaining of separation Saying,

Ever since I was parted from the reed bed My lament has caused man and woman to moan I want a bosom torn by severance That I may unfold the pain of love desire Everyone who is felt far from his source Wishes back the time when he was united with it In every company I uttered my grieving cry I concerted with the unhappy and with them who rejoice Everyone became my friend from his own opinion None sought out my secrets from within me My secret is not far from my complaint But here and I lack the light In Maulana Rumi's language Farsi You say that you don't want any to Dana Yarana,

Is a name and it's a form There's a meaning But never there So hear me and leave it in the episode You'll hear from the world Reman as no lee man dur mist,

Lik che smogusro on nur mist.

Hope that you enjoyed this beautiful poem,

Which the book of Masnavi begins with.

Have a beautiful day!

Namaste.
