Lezione 1
The Power Of Co-regulation
As parents and carers or anyone who is concerned for a young person, we often put our children’s needs first. But when it comes to teaching them how to manage stress and emotions, the best place to begin is with ourselves. Children naturally mirror the behaviour and energy of the adults around them. If we want them to feel calm, centered, and emotionally resilient, we need to embody those qualities first. This lesson is designed to help you build your own meditation practice with the intention of preparing you for teaching meditation to children and teens. By taking a moment to 'check-in' and develop self-awareness first, you’ll be better equipped to support your child and be able to create meditations that are authentic and appeal to the younger mind and interests. Ultimately we want you to share your creations with heart-filled confidence —not by doing more, but by being more present and intuitively curious. In this lesson we'll explain why it is important and how you can easily support and ground your energy by practising a simple 'check-in' that will help you develop the presence you need to teach meditation.
Lezione 2
Creating Mindful Moments During A Busy Day
Mindful Moments using the senses offers a simple, creative way to introduce meditation to children and teens—without requiring them to sit still or “do it right.” Sensory awareness is a powerful grounding tool for all ages, helping young people feel more calm, present, and emotionally balanced. This lesson guides you to start with your own short, personal mindfulness practice, so you can teach from experience, not pressure. Whether you're playing a game with a toddler, helping a school-aged child settle before bed, or guiding a teen through a sensory reset during a tough day, you’ll discover adaptable, age-appropriate ways to bring mindfulness into everyday life.
Lezione 3
Creating Meditations That Work For Your Kids
In this lesson, we explore the idea that meditation doesn’t have to look the same for everyone—especially when teaching children or teens. Adults often view meditation as something still, serious, or silent. But young people may experience it very differently—through movement, imagination, sensory play, or simple presence. This lesson helps you understand the core aspects of meditation while inviting you to reflect on your own expectations, release the need for “perfect practice,” and open up to a more flexible, playful, and present-centred way of teaching mindfulness.
Lezione 4
How to Motivate Young People To Meditate
In this lesson, we explore what stress is, how it shows up in children and teens, and why it’s essential to help them understand it. Many young people experience stress without knowing how to name it or manage it. By teaching them simple, age-appropriate ways to recognise stress and use meditation tools to calm their minds and bodies, we empower them to build emotional resilience early in life. You’ll also be invited to reflect on your own relationship with stress — because the way we respond deeply influences how our children learn to cope. In this lesson we'll introduce two ideas that you can use to reduce stress, for you and your young person with the 'superpower' breath.
Lezione 5
Teaching Meditation to Help Self-soothe with Colour
In this final lesson, we will learn how to guide a young person through a simple meditation practice using the power of breath, colour, and intention. This technique supports emotional regulation and inner balance by combining mindfulness with creative visualisation. You will be offered the chance to develop a practice that uses clear, compassionate language offering you a step-by-step process for creating a safe and empowering experience that children and teens can easily relate to and enjoy.
