This 7-day course is a gentle invitation to explore gratitude as a grounding, devotional practice during the depths of winter. Rather than rushing toward brightness or renewal, we begin by honouring stillness, darkness, and all that has been carried through the past year. From this place of deep listening, we slowly open to the subtle return of light — both in the world around us and within ourselves.
Through guided meditations, journaling prompts, breathwork, and simple rituals, you will explore gratitude for your body, your journey, the Earth, unseen support, love and connection, and the quiet intentions beginning to stir for the cycle ahead.
This course is ideal for anyone seeking grounding, closure, nervous-system soothing, and a soft sense of hope — without pressure to change or “start fresh.”
No experience is necessary. Just your presence, a journal, and an open heart.
Gabriella is a meditation teacher, author, astrologer and nature advocate from London.
When not running retreats, rites of passage ceremonies, and guiding one to one astrology readings, she loves to connect with nature via her monthly hike club. It is this love affair of nature which has led her to study Forest Therapy, and follow the Celtic wheel of the year, honouring the cross quarter points from solstice to equinoxes marking the continuous cycle of birth, death, and rebirth which she weaves into this latest course and many of her guided meditations....

Honouring what has been, without rushing toward resolution or light. As we enter the deep dark of winter we give thanks for all we have learnt from the past year before we embrace what is to come. Welcoming rest, stillness, and the wisdom of the dark.

Gratitude For The Body
We begin my turning our gaze inward towards the body, giving thanks for our body, this miraculous vessel that keeps us alive. Taking a moment to ground and connect to our body via a body scan and breathing practises.

Gratitude For The Earth
We turn our attention outward to the earth and the nature that surrounds us. To connect to the roots from the soles of our feet this winter time through the layers of the Earth to anchor and nourish our being.

Gratitude For The Unseen
Tonight we honour the unseen realms. The dimension of our ancestors, guides and spirit team, both known and unknown. Winter is a time that connects us with our ancestors, it is a time of death in a natural sense, and also a time to honour the wise elders in our bloodline.

Gratitude for Love & Connection
Today we turn our thanks towards our relationships, the people who have brought much love, light and acceptance into our life whether family, friend or fleeting connections. This is a time to remember all those who have helped us along our path.

Gratitude For The Self
Tonight we turn inward, towards our self, to shine the light of gratitude on our own radiance, positive qualities and even our imperfections. Showing ourselves a little more kindness, because we deserve our own appreciation despite the obstacles we have had to face.

Gratitude For The Future & The Returning Light
Trusting the subtle return of light already underway. There is a new beginning that approaches us at the first light of a new day that follows darkest period in winter. Here there is the promise of renewal or a fresh start. The return of the sun and a new natural cycle.
