Lezione 1
What Does Eating For Energy Mean
There is more to a healthy diet than just the food you put into your body. Maybe by simply changing your diet it may not be enough to help you feel full of energy and happy and healthy. For example: you can eat brown rice and kale every day and go to the gym every evening, but if you’re stuck in an unfulfilling job or a toxic relationship, then you’re just not going to feel truly healthy and happy on a deeper level. That’s one of the core concepts of Primary Foods. The bottom line is this when you are nourished and happy in the ways that truly matter, food becomes secondary.  To begin lets look at 'What are Primary Foods?'.

Expand Your Food Horizons
The best energizing foods are those that are rich in complex carbohydrates, protein, antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other health-promoting substances. Put these foods together along with small amounts of healthy fats for a balanced diet that is sure to provide you energy all day long.

Crowding Out
With the proper balance of vitamins and minerals you will not crave dairy, meat or sweets. 
It may sound crazy, but in time you’ll find that by adding more plant-based foods, you automatically crowd out dairy and meat without feeling deprived and reduce your sugar cravings resulting in more natural energy, improved sleep and an uplifted mood.

The Importance Of Rest
Consistent periods of relaxation help reduce long-term stress, increase energy, improve sleep and change your mood. When you’re not stressed, you will not crave heavy comfort foods like meat, milk, and cheese or sweets

More Vegetables Please
Vegetables are nutritionally rich – so fill your plate with more vegetables! Go for many colors, choosing dark leafy greens as much as possible. Go for local and organic when possible and stick to vegetables in season in your region.

Decoding Your Cravings
What drives your meat, dairy and sugar cravings? Understanding what the trigger is and what is out of balance is the key to Decoding Your Cravings! Simple habits to practice will create balance in body, mind and spirit.

Cleanse Your Relationships That No Longer Serve You
Unhealthy relationships can cause stress and anxiety, leading to cravings for heavy, grounding foods like dairy, meat and sweets to mask the conflict.

Finding A Deeper Meaning
Spirituality, like food, comes in all forms. Maybe your idea of spirituality is finding solace on a long walk where you feel connected to nature and the universe, or maybe the connection you feel with a special community. Perhaps meditation is the connection you experience with the divine.

What Is Your Purpose?
What is your favorite thing to do with your free time? Your passion is part of your purpose. How would it feel to spend most of your time enjoying your passion?

Activate Your Mind And Body
When you were a young child how did you LOVE to move your body? An active body is an active mind. Exercise increases energy, reduces stress, improves sleep and creates the desire for healthy foods.
