Cosa imparerai
Many of us have a sensitive and reactive nervous system, which means we can often become quickly overstimulated or overwhelmed. We process internal stimuli (feelings, thoughts, bodily sensations) more deeply, as well as external stimuli (people, noises, light, smells), which can quickly lead to feeling overstimulated. This state of overstimulation can then manifest itself in the form of strong feelings, physical, mental, and emotional tension, and inner restlessness. This is often followed by exhaustion and tiredness because our nervous system has been running “on overdrive". Having a sensitive nervous system is often referred to as being a “Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)”. It describes someone who is extra sensitive to stimulation of all kinds, from sights to sounds, to emotions. It’s not a choice or a disorder. And although being a higly sensitive person comes with challenges, it also brings many strengths! Music, especially calming and relaxing music, can be a very powerful tool for easing overstimulation. The better you take care of yourself, the better you manage the overstimulation, and the more of your gifts you can share with the world. Being a highly sensitive person myself, I discovered that music was very healing for me and an amazing tool to manage and ease overstimulation. During this course, you will discover how music can ease overstimulation. I will share my experiences with you, so can become aware of the positive effects of sound and frequency on our body, mind, and soul. You will discover how music can support you in your daily life when you feel overstimulated. You will experience how sound can improve all aspects of your life such as your sleeping pattern, stress level, and emotional state. My healing piano music will be used and the healing sounds of my Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, Asiatic gong, Shamanic drum, and koshi chime. Enjoy this transformative sound healing journey!

Lezione 1
Overstimulation & High Sensitivity
During this first day of the course you will discover why overstimulation occurs and what it means to be "highly sensitive". Many of us have a sensitive and reactive nervous system. Especially for highly sensitive people, listening to music or creating music can be very beneficial. We will talk about overstimulation, why overstimulation happens, and why highly sensitive people experience overstimulation more often. Highly sensitive people may benefit from finding ways to cope with the stress they often face. Music can be a great tool for dealing with overstimulation. Today we will also do a grounding exercise. You will personally experience the healing frequencies of the Asiatic gong and Shamanic drum, and the healing sounds of the piano, so you can relax your mind, body, and soul.
Lezione 2
How Music Eases Overstimulation & The Impact Of Music On Our Brain
During the second day of the course you will experience how music helps ease overstimulation. We will discuss research on the impact of music on our senses and our brain. Music has an enormous impact on our brain and on several connections within the brain. You will learn about the different brainwaves, and how meditation and music can help your brain to get to the calming “alpha” state. Additionally, you will do a breathing exercise and listen to the healing sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls. You will relax your mind and increase your alpha brain waves using a healing piano improvisation.
Lezione 3
Different Genres Of Music & The Effects Of Releasing When Overstimulated
On day 3 of the course we will talk about the different genres of music and the different effects of these types of music on our senses. Different music genres have different effects on people. We will look into the effect of classical music on babies and newborns, and the effects of rock music, ambient music, and instrumental music on people in general. You will also personally experience the effects of a releasing sound healing meditation to help you release when you feel overstimulated.
Lezione 4
The Power Of Music In Coping With Stress & Anxiety When Overstimulated
Today you will discover that music can be a very powerful tool when it comes to stress management. When we are overstimulated, stress and anxiety can occur. Anxiety can cause panic attacks, headaches, nervousness, trouble sleeping, and other issues and music can be very helpful to help cope with anxiety when overstimulated. Using music as a way to cope with stress and anxiety has many health benefits. Whatever form of music you decide to use in your life, the effects can be amazing. Today we will also meditate on the healing and transformative sounds of the crystal singing bowls. You will listen to a piano improvisation to experience inner peace.

The Effects Of Music In Relaxation & Sleep
Today we will discuss the effects of music in promoting relaxation and sleep. When feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated, it can be more difficult to relax or to sleep well. Soothing music can lower the heart rate, relax the body, reduce anxiety and stress, and promote sleep. You will experience the healing sounds of the Shamanic drum. The steady rhythm of this instrument can help lower the heartbeat, breathing, blood pressure, and muscle tension, thus improving sleep quality. Additionally, you will listen to Silvia's healing piano music, which is sspecially created to help you relax and sleep better.

Making Music A Practice For Relaxation In Daily Life
The impact of music on our life is enormous! Listening to music or making music can be very helpful for easing overstimulation, reducing anxiety, sleeping well, and relaxing. It’s important to take good care of ourselves, to love ourselves, and to integrate music in our life, so it can support us in our daily paths. Being highly sensitive brings challenges, but also many benefits. Music can be a great tool to help with these challenges you face as a highly sensitive person. Today we will also meditate to reconnect with your Source within. Taking care of ourselves is an ongoing journey, but every step you take counts and music can assist you day by day.
