EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a simple way to calm your mind and body while releasing emotional tension. In this session, we’ll move through three tapping rounds: Notice what’s showing up. Shifting into the space of possibilities. Integrating the possibilities. This track is best listened to with headphones. We’ll tap gently through the eight tapping points: top of the head, inside of the eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, above the chin, under the collarbone, and under the arm. These points act like “reset” buttons for your mind-body connection to the theme of uncertainty. You don’t need to believe in EFT for it to be effective, just follow along, breathe, and let the words land in your own way if anything comes to mind that feels more true for you.

Transcript

Welcome to the EFT tapping session on self-care and self-love this session is going to go through three rounds of tapping the first round to acknowledge,

Naming the experience of resistance and pain that may be sensed or noted when reflecting on the theme self-care and self-love the second round looking into the possibilities,

Opening to choice,

Compassion and gentle shifts the third round will be the integration,

Anchoring in self-love,

Empowerment and presence before each round we'll be tapping with some set-up statements at the side of the hand otherwise known as the karate chop point going into the eight rounds of tapping which will be starting from the top of the head the inside of the eyebrows the outside of the eye just underneath the eye above the lip and underneath the nose below the bottom lip and above the chin and underneath the collarbones and then tapping under the arm on the bra strap if wearing a bra or one hand down from the armpit with each tapping round I'm going to invite you to notice on that subjective unit of distress scale zero,

Being completely chill,

Not really feeling much around it and ten,

Being the most intense that you've experienced that thought,

Word,

Phrase,

Sensation or emotion now this can show up differently for everyone so note what's coming up for you in your subjective experience there's no right or wrong here,

Just that invitation to check in and notice what comes up for you and having a glass of water nearby,

Take your sip whenever you need and with the set-up statements,

We'll begin at the karate chop point even though I often forget to take care of myself I choose to honour how I feel right now even though parts of me feel unworthy of love and care I gently acknowledge it and accept myself anyway even though it's hard to put myself first I accept these feelings with compassion tapping from the top of the head this pressure to always do more inside of the eyebrow,

The thought that I don't deserve care outside of the eye,

Forgetting my own needs underneath the eye,

The guilt when I slow down underneath the nose,

That pressure to put others first underneath the bottom lip,

This ache of not feeling enough below the collarbone,

The habit of self-criticism under the arm,

I notice it all and I accept myself here I invite you to take a pause and just note where you are now in that subjective unit of distress with that thought,

Word,

Phrase,

Emotion or sensation and just land in your body as you check in where is that now?

What else might have sifted up to the surface?

Acknowledging that,

We'll tap into the possibilities setting up as statements,

Now at the karate chop point even though I've neglected myself I'm open to small acts of kindness within even though it's unfamiliar I allow new ways of caring for myself even though change can feel hard I welcome the possibility of love flowing in tapping from the top of the head,

Allowing myself space to breathe inside of the eyebrow,

Softening the harsh inner voice outside of the eye,

A choice to rest without guilt underneath the eye,

Receiving care is a natural right underneath the nose,

Letting love flow back to me underneath the bottom lip,

Knowing my needs matter too below the collarbones,

Embracing tenderness towards myself under the arm,

I open to self care as a daily practice taking in that breath and noticing where you land breathing out where are you now on that subjective unit of distress or intensity on that scale of 0 to 10 just doing a quick scan of the body any thoughts,

Words,

Emotions or sensations that have come forward into the foreground or what shifted or what phrase landed for you before we go into our third and final round of integration I'm going to invite you to just hold in mind that word,

That thought,

That emotional sensation that showed up for you as we tap into anchoring in that self love now at the karate chop point even though it takes practice I choose to embody self love more each day even though I may forget at times I remember to care and show compassion for myself even though I'm still learning I can hold the love within me now tapping from the top of the head rooted in self worth inside of the eyebrow blind with care outside of the eye I honour my body's wisdom underneath the eye I choose kindness with my thoughts underneath the nose my heart softens with self love underneath the bottom lip I carry compassion through my actions below the collar bones I trust that I care for myself under the arm I embody love within me and taking that final breath in and breathing out ending that tapping round where have you landed now?

Just noticing on that subjective unit of distress one last time where you've landed with that thought,

Phrase,

Word,

Emotional sensation in the body what insight might have actually shown up for you that you can take away for further reflection after this session today and taking that act of gratitude and thanking yourself for showing up for all those parts that may have showed up today and giving yourself that time and space to process what needed to be processed until next time,

Take care
