The most powerful way to teach tolerance is to actually live tolerance.
And to live tolerance I have to begin by setting my intention each day.
So I begin to relax allowing all the muscles to release any tension that I'm holding.
And I take my mind far away to a beautiful sanctuary or garden somewhere serene and peaceful where I can feel myself loosened from the dramas from the busyness of the world.
I allow myself to feel more and more relaxed more and more peaceful and centered.
And I set a clear intention that today I will practice tolerance.
I ask myself how will I practice tolerance today.
Will I practice being easy allowing people to be inconsistent at times and imperfect.
Will I practice accepting people as they are and wherever they are instead of judging them.
Or will I practice understanding understanding the wisdom that a challenge has to teach me.
Understanding what someone under stress or influenced by anger might be going through.
There are so many ways to practice tolerance and in this peaceful beautiful sanctuary I ask myself how am I going to live tolerance today.
I take a deep breath and I return to my daily world and I promise myself that today I will keep my eyes open for opportunities to live tolerance and I will know that by living tolerance my life teaches the power and wonder of a simple act of love.
