Welcome to this short moment of calm created just for you.
As a mom,
You're always giving,
Always doing.
Now it's time to simply be.
Let's take these few minutes to unplug and reconnect with yourself.
First settle in.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down.
Let your hands rest gently in your lap or by your side.
If it feels good,
You may close your eyes.
Just allow your body to soften,
Releasing any tension you're holding.
Surrender to gravity and a feeling of ease and support.
Take a deep,
Easy breath in through your nose and softly exhale through your mouth.
Inhale slowly and exhale fully,
Feeling the stress begin to melt away.
Let your breath return to a more natural rhythm.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest.
The rise and fall of your belly.
With each inhale,
Inviting an ease in the lightness of your being.
With each exhale,
Releasing tension,
Worries,
And turbulences.
Now gently bring your awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagine a bright and spacious light above your head.
Like a gentle wave of relaxation,
Let this light now wash all over you.
Feel it very slowly move down,
Softening your forehead,
Releasing your eyelids and clenching your jaw.
Let this wave travel down your neck and shoulders.
Feel them drop and release any burden they've been carrying.
Allow this relaxation to slowly move down your arms,
Into your hands,
All the way to your fingertips.
Both arms.
Moving back through the arms,
Shoulders,
Feel the wave of calm and ease move through your chest,
Your belly,
And your entire back.
Releasing any tension or blockages.
Moving down farther through your hips,
Into the legs,
And all the way to your toes.
Like water washing away anything that does not nourish or serve you anymore.
Now imagine yourself in a peaceful,
Familiar place.
Cozy corner,
A quiet garden,
Or anywhere you feel safe and at ease.
There's no to-do list here,
No responsibilities.
Just you.
Resting in stillness.
Notice the light.
Are there loved ones?
People,
Animals?
Are you inside or in nature?
Really take in your peaceful,
Familiar place.
How do you feel when you're here?
Just notice.
If thoughts arise,
That's okay.
You can say hi for a moment.
Let them pass.
Then gently drift back to your sanctuary.
Your place of stillness and resting.
While you're comfortably seated in your sanctuary,
Silently repeat to yourself,
I am enough.
I give myself permission to rest.
I deserve this moment of peace.
Feel the truth of these words.
Let them wash over you and sink into every cell of your being.
When you're ready,
Come back slowly.
Take another deep,
Slow breath.
In through the nose.
Out through the mouth.
Wiggle your fingers,
Toes,
Tip of your nose.
Bring gentle movement back to your body.
When it feels right,
You may open your eyes.
I hope you take this calm with you as you return to your day.
Remember this moment of peace is always here for you when you need it.
