Good morning.
Come into a comfortable position and let your eyes close.
Perhaps you've arrived here feeling a little empty.
Tired of giving.
Of carrying.
Of having to find something within yourself for everyone and everything that needs you.
And just know for these next few minutes,
You can be somewhere that asks nothing of you.
So take a deep breath in through the nose.
And slowly exhale through the mouth.
Inhaling through the nose.
And exhale,
Just release and let go.
One more like that together,
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
Now come back to your normal breath.
And start to imagine a narrow path opening through a meadow.
Notice the light is soft.
The grasses are moving gently around this path.
When there are wildflowers scattered everywhere.
Begin to walk.
There's nowhere you need to reach.
Simply follow the path ahead.
And start to notice that ahead trees gather around a small clearing.
As you walk closer,
You can hear the quiet movement of water.
And just there beneath the trees you see a spring.
It emerges from the earth a little higher up in the clearing.
You see water moving gently over dark smooth stones,
Gathering into a clear pool below.
And you notice the pool is small and still around the edges.
The water is continually arriving and continually moving on.
There's something beautiful about being near something that's always being replenished.
Go ahead and sit beside the pool.
And for a while,
You simply watch the water.
It comes.
It gathers.
It moves.
It's always renewed.
And just meditate on that for a few moments.
Perhaps you begin to sense something in yourself softening.
The feeling of having to keep everything moving.
The feeling of having to keep producing,
Giving,
And responding.
Here,
There's nothing you need to give.
There's only this quiet source,
Continuing and renewing.
When you're ready,
Step into the water.
Let it move around your feet,
Your ankles,
And your legs.
And slowly lower yourself into the pool.
Let the water hold your weight.
And feel yourself surrounded by it.
Clear,
Refreshing,
And alive.
As the spring continues to flow above you.
Feel that the water begins to move over the crown of your head.
Slowly and gently.
Let it pour over the crown and down through you.
Across the forehead.
The face.
The throat.
Down through the neck.
The chest,
The heart.
Let it continue through the belly.
The pelvis.
The legs,
And all the way down to the feet.
Continue feeling this flow of water moving through your entire being.
Wherever it passes,
Let it carry away some of the weight you've been carrying.
The pressure to keep going.
The feeling you should have more to give.
The exhaustion of holding yourself together.
Let the water carry it.
Keep receiving as the water continues to pour over you.
And now perhaps it begins to feel different.
Notice that there's a warmth within the water,
Like a quiet radiance.
As though the water itself is carrying light.
Like something living.
Something ancient.
Something that existed long before you came here.
Let that light move through you.
Through the crown.
The heart.
The belly.
Through all parts of the body.
Let yourself be filled with this light.
This isn't something you've created.
It's just something that you receive.
And perhaps you can begin to feel the difference.
The difference between trying to make yourself feel better.
And being nourished.
Between pushing yourself back into the day and allowing life to meet you first.
Stay here for a few moments longer.
Let the water continue.
Let the light continue.
And let yourself receive.
Feel that sensation of something continually arriving.
Something continually giving.
And perhaps you begin to understand you are never meant to live only from what you can produce.
There's something that nourishes you too.
Beneath the effort and the tiredness.
Beneath the part of you that's been trying so hard to keep everything going.
There's a source within you.
And you can return to it again and again.
Just know that you're part of the same living current that's been moving through you all along.
And let that be enough for this morning.
Begin to rise from the pool.
The water gently falling from the body and returning to the earth and continuing on its way.
And as you stand from the pool.
Just notice if you feel more alive or more replenished.
Or more connected to something that's larger than your own effort.
And take one slow breath in.
And exhale just letting go.
Walk back down that path and back into the body.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and begin your day.
Sending you all the love.
