The Rosary is made up of twenty "mysteries" (significant events or moments in the life of Jesus and Mary), which, following the Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae, are grouped into four series. This is The Fifth Luminous Mystery - The Institution of the Eucharist. Listen for divine connection to Our Lord and Our Lady. There are a few minutes of music after the prayers end. God bless you all, dear friends. Image by Josh Applegate, with thanks.

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

I believe in God,

The Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

And in Jesus Christ,

His only Son,

Our Lord,

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

Born of the Virgin Mary,

Suffered under Pontius Pilate,

Was crucified,

Died and was buried.

He descended into hell.

On the third day he rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

The Holy Catholic Church,

The communion of saints,

The forgiveness of sins,

The resurrection of the body,

And life everlasting.

Amen.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Glory be to the Father,

And to the Son,

And to the Holy Spirit,

As it was in the beginning,

Is now and ever shall be,

World without end.

Amen.

The fifth luminous mystery,

The institution of the Eucharist.

Jesus gives us the means by which we can be united with him for all time.

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name,

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

Amen.

The Lord said to Moses,

Now I will rain down bread for you from the heavens.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

It was not Moses who gave you bread from heaven,

It is my Father who gives you the bread from heaven,

The true bread.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

The bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I am the bread of life.

He who comes to me will never be hungry.

He who believes in me will never thirst.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Your fathers ate the manna in the desert,

And they are dead.

But this is the bread that comes down from heaven,

So that a man may eat it and not die.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

As they were eating,

Jesus took some bread,

And when he had said the blessing,

He broke it and gave it to the disciples.

Take it and eat,

He said.

This is my body.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Drink,

All of you,

From this,

For this is my blood,

The blood of the covenant,

Which is to be poured out for many,

For the forgiveness of sins.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I am the bread of life,

For my flesh is real food,

And my blood is real drink.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me,

And I live in him.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

As I,

Who am sent by the living Father,

Myself draw life from the Father,

So whoever eats me will draw life from me.

All that the Father gives me will come to me,

And whoever comes to me I shall not turn him away.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Glory be to the Father,

And to the Son,

And to the Holy Spirit,

As it was in the beginning,

Is now,

And ever shall be,

World without end.

Amen.

O my Jesus,

Forgive us our sins,

Save us from the fires of hell,

Lead all souls into heaven,

Especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Amen.

Hail,

Holy Queen,

Mother of mercy,

Hail our life,

Our sweetness,

And our hope.

To thee do we cry,

Poor banished children of Eve.

To thee do we send up our sighs,

Mourning and weeping in this veil of tears.

Turn then,

Most gracious Advocate,

Thine eyes of mercy towards us,

And after this,

Our exile,

Show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

O clement,

O loving,

O sweet Virgin Mary,

Pray for us,

O holy mother of God,

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

O God,

Whose only begotten Son,

By his life,

Death,

And resurrection,

Has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,

Grant we beseech you,

That meditating on these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary,

We may both imitate what they contain,

And obtain what they promise,

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
