Hello and welcome!
Before we start,
Can I ask you something?
Have you been carrying a question lately?
One you just don't have the answer to it yet?
Maybe it's about your job or someone you love.
Or a choice you can't quite see the end of.
Or maybe it's just a quiet feeling that you don't know how things are going to turn out and a part of you really wants to know.
That's you,
You are in the right place.
We are not gonna chase any answers today,
We are just going to help your body feel a little safer with the not knowing.
We will be doing something called tapping.
It's easy.
You use your fingers to gently tap a few spots on your face and body while we say some words together.
That's it.
You don't have to get it right,
You just have to be here.
Before we start.
Think about how do you feel about that uncertain thing in your life right now,
The not knowing.
On a scale from 0 to 10.
Where zero is calm and easy and 10 is as worry as you can get.
How difficult does it feel right now?
You don't have to say it out loud,
Just notice the number and keep it somewhere in the back of your mind.
We will come to it later.
Now let's take one slow breath together.
Breathe in through your nose.
And let it go with a soft sigh out through your mouth.
One more and and out,
Release.
Now bring your hands together in your lap.
Find the soft outer edge of one hand,
Just below your pinky finger,
And that's the spot you're gonna use if you were going to do a karate fight.
Use the fingers of your other hand to tap there,
Gently.
We'll start there.
Tapping the side of your hand,
Repeat after me,
In your mind or out loud.
Even though I'm finding it hard to embrace the unknown.
And a part of me really wants to know how it all turns out,
I choose to be gentle with myself.
Again.
Even though I'm finding it hard to embrace the unknown and a part of me really wants to know how it all turns out,
I choose to be gentle with myself.
And once more.
Even though I'm finding it hard to embrace the unknown.
And a part of me really wants to know how it all turns out,
I choose to be gentle with myself.
Don't rush to make it positive,
Just be honest and kind.
Tap five to seven times.
You're doing great.
Now we are going to move through the points.
Just follow my voice.
Eyebrow.
All this not knowing what comes next.
Side of your eye.
I like to feel in control and right now I don't.
Under your eye.
This worry about how things will work out.
Under your nose.
Part of me is waiting for something to go wrong.
Under your lip,
It feels safer to hold on tight than to let it go.
Your collarbone.
All this uncertainty I've been carrying.
Under your arm.
I'm so tired of trying to figure it all out.
Top of your head.
It's hard to trust what I cannot see it yet.
And stop.
Take a slow breath in and release it.
See,
You didn't have to fix anything,
You just told the truth.
And telling the truth helps the body let go a little bit.
Let's go through it again,
This time with softened.
Eyebrow,
What if I don't have to know everything right now?
Side of the eye.
Maybe I can loosen my grip just a little.
Under your eye,
Life has carried me this far.
Under your nose.
I can take this one step at a time.
Your chin.
I can breathe even when the path isn't clear.
Collarbone,
I'm choosing to trust how my life is unfolding.
Under your arm,
Good things can find me too.
Top of your head,
I'm safe to let my life unfold.
And rest your hands,
Let them go to your lap.
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
Feel your hands warm from the tapping,
Any sensation after this experience.
You don't have to hold yourself up just now.
You don't need the whole map today.
You just need the next step.
And when it's time,
That step will be there.
Now gently come back to that uncertain thing.
The same one from the start.
On that same scale from 0 to 10.
How difficult does it feel now?
Whatever the number is,
It's okay.
Maybe dropped a little bit.
Maybe a lot.
Maybe you just feel softer than before.
There's no wrong answer here.
You showed up for yourself and your body felt it.
If you like,
You can come back to this any time the not knowing gets loud.
Your hands are always with you.
And for now,
Take one last easy breath.
Release.
And when you're ready,
Carry this bit of trust with you.
Take good care of yourself and I hope to be here with you again soon.
