Welcome to today's deep sleep and relaxation meditation.
Before we begin,
Allow yourself to relax into a comfortable position as you lie down in your bed or wherever you may be resting as you get yourself ready to sleep.
You find yourself unwinding from the busyness of the day and it's now time to put to one side everything that happened today and anything that may be occupying your mind around tomorrow or beyond.
That's it,
Just leave it to the side.
Safe in the knowledge that if you need to come back to it,
It will be there for you to reconnect with once you have given yourself permission to have the deep rest your body and mind needs.
Allowing the deep rest that sleep provides to help you to process all that needs to be processed and put you in good stead for what tomorrow may bring.
As you listen to this meditation,
Just allow yourself permission to let what you hear flow through you.
You don't need to absorb all that is said,
Just let yourself take in what you need.
As you start to relax deeper into yourself,
Your mind may begin to wander.
It doesn't matter.
Thoughts may enter your mind,
But like a cloud that temporarily passes over the sun,
These thoughts will pass just as quickly as they came.
Just notice them.
Just observe.
Just witness what is happening without resisting.
Just be aware of what is happening right now.
You don't have to do anything.
You don't have to change anything.
Just notice.
Just observe.
That's it.
Maybe you are experiencing a lot of emotions.
Maybe there are several thoughts that are running through your mind.
That's okay.
Just notice.
Just observe.
Perhaps you are noticing physical sensations in your body.
Your body is just unwinding from the day's activities and the weight it has been carrying throughout the day.
If you need to,
Take a moment to make yourself more comfortable.
Stretch and relax into your bed,
Releasing any tension as you take in the comfort of the mattress and the sheets.
You can choose to find rest in any moment,
Unwinding more and more with each passing moment,
Drifting further into relaxation.
There's nothing you have to do right now.
Just be.
Sometimes you may notice yourself starting to drift into a sleep-like state.
Allow your mind and body to take you there.
Things may become a little blurrier as you flit between the real world and a dream-like state.
Allow yourself to just be taken into that deep relaxation state.
And with each breath,
Breathing in deep rest and exhaling any tension you feel.
Everything is as it should be.
And as you relax further and further into yourself,
Into a state of deep sleep and relaxation,
Just let the words and sounds flow through you.
You can continue on your own like this as the meditation continues.
