Oh vulnerable hearts,
Close your lids softly.
We're going to sit together today in gentleness.
Let's allow our intention to be of simple tenderness and curiosity.
And remember,
You are not alone on this path.
You may not be used to this,
It may feel frightening to set aside some space and time to hold yourself in this kind of tenderness,
This kind of reverence.
So together now,
Let's take three deep inhales,
Holding briefly at the top before we exhale slowly.
The breath is our most powerful anchor to our being.
It is our most powerful conduit of divine light.
It is here,
Through our breath,
That we access the forgotten pieces of us.
Bits we've locked away out of conditioning,
Fear,
Shame,
Survival.
Today we are going to meet ourselves and take a journey of remembrance.
With our breath,
We send a calming invitation for these forgotten pieces to begin their journey back to us.
So please picture yourself at a doorway,
At one end of a hallway,
And your heart at the other.
Your heart takes the form of six year old you.
You're both folding onto a string,
Each peeking out from behind the door.
The string binds you together,
And yet at times in your life,
It may have felt like you've never been further apart.
Welcome home,
Dear ones.
You've always been on this journey together.
What are you feeling inside your body as you see yourself at the end of the hallway,
As you meet yourself there?
Pause here with this sensation.
Maybe there's no sensation.
Whatever is happening is okay.
If there is a physical sensation here,
Name it.
Is it pain,
Burning,
Tingling,
Tightness?
Just meet it,
Without judgment,
Without analyzing.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath.
Send that breath into the sensation in your body where you find it's calling to you.
Send the breath into your heart.
As you allow your breath to return to normal,
Just let the sensation,
If it's discomfort,
Let it be there.
It only wants your attention.
It only needs your attention.
It's not here to scare you.
It's only here as a messenger.
The little one at the other end of the hallway,
Peering out at you.
They're the guardian of the forgotten pieces.
When we access this place,
We can intuit the divine,
Unexplainable knowingness within.
There may be all kinds of thoughts and emotions arising from this place.
Just keep your attention on your breath and on that little one peering at you,
Breathing with you.
You are not separate.
Our only job here today is to meet that little one.
They are in the breath.
They are in your heart.
And it is safe in the heart.
Here there's no need to fix anything or change anything.
We're simply here to meet in tenderness,
In remembrance of what it's like to be held in love.
So let's take a couple minutes to be in this space together,
Breathing easily,
Simply noticing your experience.
Just being with all the pieces without trying to figure anything out,
Without chewing any sensations or emotions away.
All of it is allowed here.
And when the mind wanders,
Because it will wander,
Just come back home to the breath,
Noticing where you feel it enter and exit your body.
I will welcome you back when we're ready.
Take a nice big inhale and sigh it out.
Come on,
Everyone please.
You you you you Hi there welcome back Take another big sigh Sending a message of gratitude to your being for all that you are and for taking this time to meet yourself here today In closing I Ask you to hold that picture in your mind of that little one peering out at you you Please carry that with you The image of you both holding that string together always And repeat these words softly I am carrying you home.
I am carrying you home.
I am carrying you home
