On days you're called to meet the edges of your comfort zone and step into a new arena,
But you feel afraid,
Uncertain,
And not quite ready,
This prayer is an invitation to come back to your body,
Steady your breath,
And remember that courage doesn't mean moving without fear.
So tune in.
Take a soft breath in and a long exhale out.
Another soft breath in and perhaps a longer exhale out.
And now let this reach your heart.
Today I feel like I'm standing at the edge of my comfort zone.
This next step feels bigger than who I am right now.
I feel the jitter of fear and doubt.
And I also sense an expansion,
Wondering what if this works?
May today you give me the steadiness to stay with myself when the ground feels unfamiliar.
Give me the courage to take the next step without needing to see the whole path.
Remind me that fear is not a stop sign,
It's an invitation.
So may I meet this scared and resistant part of me with tenderness.
May I thank it for trying to keep me safe and may I remind it gently that I'm allowed to grow beyond what once protected me.
May I stop confusing comfort with safety.
May I stop mistaking what's familiar for what's right and may I be willing,
Willing to be a beginner,
Willing to be seen before I feel ready,
Willing to move with the tremble in my body May you become my anchor so I still trust the deeper yes beneath it.
May I release the need to know how and trust the deeper why you placed on my heart.
I do not need to leap.
I do not need to force.
I do not need to become fearless.
I only need to stay with you in my body and in my breath as I take the next small step and the next and the next.
And today may the edge of my comfort zone become a doorway to my coming,
So it is.
Thank you for joining me on the Unconditioning Path.
My name is Hedi,
And I see you in the next one.
