Find a comfortable position.
Close your eyes and turn your attention to your breathing.
Notice the air as it enters your body,
Fills your lungs and leaves again.
Now think about your feet and give your toes a little wiggle.
Imagine that you have roots growing out of your feet and reaching very,
Very deep into the centre of the earth.
Connect your roots to the middle of the earth.
Feel how deep your roots grow.
As you're imagining your deep,
Deep roots,
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths.
Breathe slowly in through your nose,
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As you breathe in,
Notice that your tummy expands out,
Filling with air.
As you breathe out,
Feel your tummy get flatter,
Pushing all the air out.
Just repeating this a few times.

As you breathe in,
Notice that your tummy expands out,
Filling with air.
As you breathe out,
Feel your tummy get flatter,
Pushing all the air out.
Now that your roots are deeply planted,
Pay attention to your body that is the trunk of the tree.
Notice how strong and solid it feels.
Imagine some wind starting to blow right now,
A big strong wind.
And when the wind comes,
Does your body feel strong?
If you feel like the wind can still push your body around,
Then add a bigger root system to your feet.
Imagine that you have many roots holding you firmly to the ground.
And notice how great it feels to be strongly connected to the earth,
How strong your body feels.
Imagine yourself as a big strong tree,
Planted deeply in the earth,
Stretching high towards the sky under the beautiful warm sunshine.
Bring your attention back to your breath.
Notice the air as it enters your body and fills your lungs and leaves again.
Notice the sensations in your body.
What can you smell?
What can you see in your vision?
What can you feel?
What can you hear?
Can you hear beautiful birds chirping?
Just feel the beautiful warm sunshine beaming down,
Healing your body.
Notice how connected to the earth you feel.
Notice how grounded you're feeling.
Breathing in inner compassion,
Exhaling,
Releasing and letting go.
Now,
Breathe out,
Letting any worries melt into the ground.
Breathe slowly in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As you're breathing,
Notice that your tummy expands out,
Filling with air.
As you breathe out for your tummy,
Get flatter,
Pushing all the air out.
Visualizing the root system coming out of the soles of your feet,
Connecting you deep into the center of the earth.
Notice how strong you're feeling.
Notice the connection with Mother Earth,
How grounded you're feeling right here,
Right now.
Just taking the time to let go of your worries,
To wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes and bring your awareness back to the room.
