Welcome to the Anxiety Spiral Tab.
You can start off by giving yourself a big hug.
Take three deep sniffs in.
Hold.
And slowly breathe out.
We're going to do this two more times.
I invite you to close your eyes if you feel comfortable to and I'm going to guide you through each tapping point.
Just repeat after me and remember,
You don't need to get it perfect for it to work.
This is a moment for you,
Nothing else to do right now.
Can start with the side of the hand.
Even though my thoughts are spiralling and I feel so anxious.
I'm choosing to accept how I feel right now.
Even though my mind won't stop replaying everything.
Right here and right now I am safe.
Even though I'm stuck in my head.
And it feels so overwhelming.
Right here and right now,
I am supported.
Top of the head.
I can't stop worrying.
Eyebrows.
I feel completely overwhelmed.
Side of the eye.
I feel like there is something wrong with me.
Under the eye.
What if I said or did the wrong thing?
Under the nose.
There's nothing else to do right now and nowhere else to be.
I acknowledge this anxiety.
Collarbone.
I don't feel safe.
Under the arm.
My mind is racing and I can't stop thinking about this problem.
Top of the head.
All of this worry.
Eyebrows.
I feel so exhausted.
Side of the eye.
All of this thinking has made me feel so tired.
Under the eye.
Take a deep breath in.
Pause.
And slowly breathe out.
You under the nose.
Taking a few minutes out.
To help calm my body.
Chin.
I feel really worried about this thing.
Collarbone but I'm reminding myself that I am safe right now in this moment.
Under the arm,
Noticing my breath and bringing some safety in.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold.
And breathe out.
Just check in with how you're feeling,
See if you feel a little bit better than when you first started and we'll go again.
Side of the hand.
Even though I still feel a lot of anxiety.
Right here and right now I'm choosing to feel safe.
Even though I don't know how to stop these circling thoughts.
What if I could just trust that things will be okay?
Even though I feel so exhausted from all of this worrying.
I am reminding myself that I am safe right now in this moment.
Top of the head.
What if I can be at peace with this anxiety and know that my body is just trying to keep me safe?
Eyebrows.
What if it's possible to feel safe and secure without having to think my way out of it?
Side of the eye.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold.
And breathe out.
Under the eye.
It would be so nice if I could just feel safe now and start to let this go.
Under the nose.
What if I could love and accept those thoughts and feelings?
Under the mouth and the chin.
What if I could acknowledge that my body is just looking out for me to keep me safe?
What if I can bring a sense of calm into my body now?
Under the arm.
What if letting go can feel safe?
Take a deep breath in.
Hold at the top.
And breathe out.
I'm going to go back to the side of the hand for the final round.
And we're going to look to bring in some positive suggestions.
Even though I still feel some anxiety and worry.
Right here and right now I am safe.
Even though I still have some worry.
I remind myself that my thoughts are just thoughts.
They are not a reality.
Even though I might not be fully ready to let this go.
I choose to accept that my thoughts and feelings are being resolved on a deep level.
Top of the head.
I choose to love and approve of all of me.
Eyebrows.
Right here and right now I am safe.
Side of the eye.
I allow myself to relax and feel supported.
Under the eye.
I can relax knowing that it is safe to feel safe.
Under the nose.
I'm allowing myself to feel safe.
I release all the remaining stress and worry.
Collarbone.
I choose to trust myself and know that things will be okay.
Under the arm.
I choose to feel calm,
Confident and grateful for all that is good in my life.
Top of the head,
Softening into my body.
And relaxing into my chair.
Eyebrows.
I acknowledge this anxiety.
Side of the eye.
Right here and right now I am safe.
Under the eye.
I feel more relaxed in my body now.
Under the nose.
Maybe I can let this anxiety go now.
It is safe for me to relax.
Cullabone.
Letting go of these anxious thoughts now.
Under the arm.
It is safe for me to relax now.
Now to close.
Rub your hands together.
We're bringing you back into your body,
Back into your power.
Waking up your energy.
Cross your hands over your heart and feel the warmth.
Remember you're safe,
You're supported and you're doing a lot better than you think.
