The Silence ( Sanskrit, Classical Guitar & Binaural Beats)
by Ch'Lu
Using the ancient text of the Mandukya Upanishads, which creates the experience and journey of "Om", this track is the ultimate Sound Medicine. “The Silence” is a journey of the soundless aspect of “Om” – wherein the true self lies, giving a direct experience of universal consciousness. The track too represents the struggle to find this silence in today’s world. "The Silence" is the final track from Ch'Lu's Arts Council & Help Musicians funded album "The Goddess Within" (released June 9th). Composed, performed, recorded, mixed, and produced by Ch’Lu in her home studio, it is a fusion of binaural field recordings (listen out for her electric toothbrush & phone swiping), hypnotic Sanskrit vocals, classical guitar improvisation, and electronic soundscapes. Original Sanskrit as heard in this track: amātraś caturtho’vyavahāryaḥ prapañcopaśamaḥ sivo’dvaita evam auṁkāra ātmaiva, saṁviśaty ātmanā’tmānaṁ ya evaṁ veda ya evaṁ veda
