This bedtime story for adults is the next installment after the earlier tale of Claire and the SageWoman.

In this story, Claire embarks on a hero's journey that eventually helps her transform feelings of loneliness and her struggle to understand the meaning of life and death. This transformation unfolds when she meets a Swedish nun in Minnesota who introduces her to the life of St. Clare of Assisi.

Glenda, what a beautiful story of Claire discovering Saint Clare of Assisi. Hearing how 700 years ago Clare left her family and their privileged life to join Saint Francis. I probably heard about her, when I attended Catholic grade school, but had forgotten. This made me think of a relative of my Mom. I was named after a second cousin who died of pneumonia at age 19. I saw her photo at her Mom’s home, when we drove to Detroit for a funeral. She was beautiful & looked like a movie star to me! Sadly she joined a cloistered nunnery, and when she fell ill, her family never got to see her. It was heartbreaking for them. I looked up on the internet about the Poor Clares, ‘ a contemplative religious community for women that emphasized a life of simplicity, humility and renouncing worldly pleasures.’ Hard to imagine this life she chose in 1212. Your Claire stories always inspire me, and remind me of my own experiences now that I am soon to be 70. I am most grateful for you sharing your amazing stories! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
