When God Sends "Something Even Better"

This weekend I hosted my first spiritual retreat and conference day.

I've always been inspired by people like Tony Robbins,

Mel Robbins,

Brendan Burchard,

Oprah,

Joel Osteen,

Steve Harvey,

Jennifer Lopez.

They're just some of the people that I look up to and admire for the work that they do and the way that they share information with the public.

So back in January,

I have talked about how I struggled emotionally and I felt like I was going through some type of metamorphosis.

I was in a place where I wanted to grow in my business and I wanted to pursue other avenues but wasn't really sure what to do,

What direction to go into.

So I started following these people on Instagram and they were sharing tips and ideas and inspiration and thoughts and memes that really inspired me.

So I had this idea to create my own conference day,

A spiritual retreat,

And utilize the people in my life that are so good at what they do,

At sharing information,

And so heart-based and full of life.

So I started to reach out to some people who I thought would be great presenters.

My original vision for this conference was to do an angel conference.

It's kind of my thing and I feel like people can really benefit from the information.

So there was a lady who had been putting together some community events and I went to see her to collaborate and asked her if she'd be interested in working together.

And I remember telling her in the meeting,

Now I said,

I can certainly sell tickets.

I can find the presenters and put it all together.

I said,

But I have no idea what it takes to plan a party.

I have no idea about planning ahead and what needs to be done.

And she said,

I'm in.

I can handle that part.

So we got the process going.

And from the first day,

I remember looking up at God and saying,

God,

I'm going to co-create this with you.

I asked for your assistance for working out the details and opening up the doors for me and showing me the right people,

Places,

Things,

And ideas for this to take form.

So as I said,

I started to think about the idea of an angel day,

But as I was connecting with people and seeing clients,

I started to realize that there was something more that people needed.

And I wanted to create a day of empowerment for people.

I feel like so many people right now are in a place of wanting to pursue their dreams,

Wanting to expand,

Wanting to grow,

Wanting to really live a life with passion and excitement.

And I thought,

Who better than the people that are doing it?

So I started asking some of the people that have their own metaphysical shops or their own holistic practices.

And I sat with the idea of creating an event that was full of inspirational speakers,

Spiritual ground breakers,

And holistic entrepreneurs.

And each one of the people that I went to,

I basically just asked them to send me a write up about a talk that they're most passionate about.

And I asked them to also include their story.

And so I put that out there.

And it's funny,

The people who came along,

The people who made it,

The people who didn't make it,

The people who wanted to be part of it and couldn't,

It was just amazing as it all unfolded.

And every step of the way,

Anytime I got nervous about ticket sales or how is this all going to come together or the work that was involved,

I remember pausing.

And instead of going there with the fear,

I called on Archangel Michael and I asked him for his assistance to surround and protect me,

To raise me above the fear.

And then I went right to God and I said,

Okay,

God,

Show me the next step.

And then another person would come along or another idea or another experience.

And I have to say,

Sunday came and I was very confident in the presenters that had been selected and then the way the schedule had taken form.

And then we opened up the doors and the people start showing up and showing up and showing up and showing up.

And I believe we don't have the final numbers yet,

But I believe we had about 85 participants.

People were still buying tickets that morning and it was so much more than I had ever thought possible.

It was amazing the way things came together,

The synchronicities.

And I remember saying to God,

I give you permission to bring the people into this experience,

Into this space that I need and I don't know that I need.

And even the night before when we were putting out decorations and everything,

I had an idea of what I wanted.

And this lady showed up who is actually a part of the event place that I was having the event at.

And she showed up and I told her my vision or my idea for the centerpieces,

But I really had no idea how to put it together or what I even wanted.

So shortly after that,

I got distracted and I ended up somewhere else in the building.

And when I came back down to revisit the centerpiece idea,

She had already created all of these beautiful centerpieces.

We had the event on the conference on Earth Day.

And so she had come up with these beautiful vases that had butterflies on them and green sprigs and it was just so beautiful.

And she's putting them all over all over the table.

I just I couldn't help but be so grateful that she showed up that day.

And I kind of looked and winked at God.

I said,

Thanks,

God.

I'm like,

You knew I needed that.

And so I had a whole experience of these things just happening to volunteers.

One of the volunteers took pictures of everything throughout the day.

And I have to say,

I didn't even think about taking pictures and capturing the event and capturing the presenters,

Because I was focused on the music for the event and getting the speakers and just making sure people were where they needed to be.

And the day went so lovely.

It went so well.

I can't even tell you how many times I heard people say I really needed this.

And the presenters just spoke from the heart.

They shared their story.

And I remember one of the presenters saying to me,

You know,

I look at these presenters and I hear their stories about illness and challenges and difficulties.

And my thought was like,

God,

If they can get through that,

Then I can do it too.

And it just started to feel all that heart love overflow.

And I felt so proud to be able to take the leap and create a space for people to come and heal and grow and be inspired and uplifted.

And I remember at the end of the day when I was thanking the presenters,

Thanking the volunteers and just kind of giving some insight in how everything unfolded for me,

I remembered my first experience with an intuitive session,

Much like the sessions that I offer in my practice.

And my mom had gotten me a gift certificate and it had taken me a year to use it.

And I remember going and she connected me with my grandmother.

She connected me with the Archangel Michael.

And when I left,

I felt so uplifted.

I felt so at peace.

But I remember looking at myself in the mirror and saying,

You know,

If this is real,

God,

Prove it.

And at the time,

God and I didn't really have the best relationship.

I blamed him for a lot of things.

I didn't have the best spiritual foundation to really understand it all.

And so as I was thanking everybody for showing up and enjoying the day,

I shared that over 12 years ago,

I remember looking at the mirror and asking God to prove it.

If this is real,

Prove it.

And in that moment,

At the end of the day,

On Sunday at the conference,

I looked at God and I said,

Man,

Always be cautious when you challenge God,

Because he will have you moving by leaps and bounds before you even know it.

And I looked at this like 10 year lifespan and every step of the way,

God has shown up for me.

He's given me everything that I needed,

The support,

The people,

The places,

The things and the ideas.

And it just made me realize like how powerful and how beautiful his energy is.

And I joke about challenging God and it wasn't in a blasphemous way.

But it was almost like challenging myself like,

Okay,

What can we do with this?

And going from that place to not really sure,

To standing in front of a room full of people,

Shining my light,

Sharing my story,

Creating this space with them.

It was unbelievably powerful.

And it again,

Wanted me to share the message that now is the time to take the leap of faith.

God will have your back.

I remember calling on the Archangel Michael throughout the process to move away the fears when you know,

What about the ticket sales?

And what are we going to do next?

And how is this going to come together?

And then I also called on the Archangel Gabriel.

Archangel Gabriel is the angel of communication.

And I asked Gabriel to give me the insight as to the best presenters for this event that we were creating.

I also asked Gabriel to help me with the creative process.

And how am I going to put it together?

And what's the vision and what it all needs to look like?

So we had a conference room where the presenters spoke.

We had another room where all the presenters were gathered together so that people could go and ask questions.

I really wanted the presenters to be available to share the information and have the participants be able to connect with the presenters to ask more questions.

I also had a meditation room where a friend of mine gave these phenomenal meditations.

And people could go and have a,

When he wasn't doing his meditations,

People could go and have a quiet space.

I thought that was really important because me,

You know,

Being an empath,

When I'm around a lot of people like that,

It can be overwhelming.

So I knew I needed to have a quiet space that people could go listen to music decompress journal if they needed to.

And then another key aspect that I knew I wanted at this conference was Reiki practitioners providing Reiki.

Reiki is such a powerful healing modality that helps people relax.

It helps ease their mind.

It puts the body at a rested state so the body can heal itself.

And I had a team of Reiki practitioners who were so beautifully wonderful to donate their time to share this energy with people who had never experienced Reiki before.

And the stories I heard from the participants who had Reiki for the first time and there were like,

What is this?

And it makes me think how much every single part of that conference was a piece of me from the people that spoke,

The participants that came in,

The rooms that came together,

The space itself all came from this beautiful bubble of love.

And I'm not going to lie.

I was completely exhausted and wiped by the end of the day.

I remember laying on the floor and saying to my friend who is helping me clean up and everything I looked at her and said,

Man,

I feel like I just gave energetic birth.

I feel like that's now out and able to grow on its own.

And it felt like all these weights had been lifted and I was able to release it and just really bask in the energy that had been created.

And how incredibly powerful.

And I have to say the day went so smoothly.

I asked God and the angels to bless the day.

The timing was perfect.

We stayed on time the entire day.

And dare I say the whole experience now looking back was quite easy,

Easy in the sense that when I step back from the ego and I step back from the worries and fears and I opened up space for God and his armies of angels to come through and support me and give me the insight.

Now I have to say I did lots of meditation these last couple months.

I did lots of self care,

Taking care of my body.

And the way everything kind of unfolded was so peaceful and so relaxing.

And it's funny because I was planning this event during the Mercury retrograde.

And for those of you out there who think,

You know,

The retrograde is,

You know,

One of those things where you don't want to do anything.

I have to say it was one of the most creative times for me and powerful spaces to create an event like this.

So I have to say I dotted my eyes and I crossed my T's and I double checked the information that I was sending out.

I really again called on Archangel Gabriel to help me with the communication.

I kept the pennies in my pocket that he sends when communicating and trying to really express to people,

The presenters and the people who are going to help out with the event.

I thought it was really important to get a clear vision of what I what I was seeking for this event.

And then from that place,

I could let that energy radiate out.

And so that night I went home and I was completely exhausted.

I think I was in bed by nine thirty.

And I see why so many of these public speakers talk about conserving energy,

Taking care of your voice,

Making sure your body's rested up to par and up to par because putting on something like that is this is so physically,

Mentally and emotionally exhausting,

But it's so incredibly exciting at the same time.

It was such a wild energy.

And I wanted to share this this experience with you today because I know there are so many of you out there who want to write that book,

Who want to grow,

Who want to pursue a passion,

Who want to take a class,

Who wants to really take a leap of faith into whatever your soul has been calling you for.

I feel like right now,

More than ever,

There's this powerful energy behind us that's supporting us in the work that we're doing on a soul level.

And I think about this experience and how how big it was and how lovely it was and the process that led up to it.

I have to say,

I really owe it all to God.

And again,

Jokingly,

This is what happens when you challenge God.

You know,

God rises to the occasion and he says,

OK,

Let's do it.

So from this point on,

I am continuing to listen to my guidance.

I would love to do something like this again.

I really feel like I'm settling into the next level of my career and my practice.

And I don't really know what's in store for me.

I said earlier to somebody that everything that I needed just showed up.

And I was starting to say earlier about even the pictures.

So there was a volunteer who came and she showed up like just as I had gotten there.

She left just as I was leaving.

She was so grateful to be there to help.

I was so grateful that she was there to volunteer her time.

And when she started sending me the pictures,

She got everything.

She got every presenter table.

She got every presenter speaking.

She got all the rooms.

She got the decor,

Anything that I would need of needed to to capture that.

She got me speaking.

I was just so grateful.

And I remember coming home and thinking like,

Oh,

Gosh,

I need to I didn't grab a program for the day to keep for next year.

And sure enough,

Would you know,

She put one in my bag,

Too.

And I looked up at God and I said,

Thank you.

Thank you for sending your armies of earth angels to help me with whatever I need.

And I have to say,

I really had no clue what I was doing.

And I just kept asking God for assistance to send me the people,

Places,

Things and ideas that would help this conference be the best that it can be.

And so now here I am a couple days later processing the whole thing.

And I'm still a little tired,

But there's just so much more that we can do to create.

So I wanted to share this this experience with you today.

I wanted to share the angels that I used or I asked to work with me,

The Archangel Michael,

To clear away worries and fears,

Because I'm not going to lie,

It came up.

You know,

When you're putting on an event like this,

You are financially responsible for a lot of things.

You know,

This is my ego part,

Too,

And the reputation part and putting myself out there and,

You know,

Taking that leap.

And again,

You just never know how people how people are going to receive it.

Right.

And to hear such positive feedback and to hear how people now that were there are now pursuing their dreams,

Who are taking the next steps to get where they've wanted to be.

People who have showed up to realize that they're not alone,

That there are other people having the same experiences.

Again,

I just I'm just overwhelmed with with gratitude for the blessings in this one experience.

And you know,

I realized,

Like,

I,

I want to do more of this.

I want to be able to create space where people can come together,

Where people can connect,

Where people can enjoy spirituality and faith and love and heart centered energy and fill up.

You know,

Things have been a little rough out there.

People are tired and there's a lot of crazy energy slinging around.

So having this space,

I think,

Revitalized so many of us and and you know,

Most of the presenters or most some of the presenters that that spoke it was the first time they ever spoke in front of a group that large.

And to sit back and hear them shine their light.

And all I did was say,

Tell me what you're most passionate about.

What do you love to talk about,

And include your story.

And that's what you do in the way the topics came together,

And the way they were presented throughout the day.

Man,

God is good.

So as I close up this podcast for you finishing out April,

I want to encourage you to shine your light.

Take that leap of faith.

Ask God and the angels to open the doors for you.

Also to Archangel Arielle,

I've talked about her being the angel that will assist on your soul mission.

So she was another angel that I was calling back calling on back in in January and February saying Arielle,

What more is there?

What more can I do?

And and what's the next step?

And and I have to say people on my Instagram kept popping up like Tony Robbins and Mel Robbins and Brendan Burchard and Rachel Hollis,

All these beautiful souls who are out there doing it who inspired me.

So my wish for you is to inspire you.

You know,

Work with God and the angels,

Ask them to open up the doors for you.

And the sky is not the limit the stars the universe,

You can go as high as as your heart desires.

But it starts with baby steps,

Small actions.

I had to reach out to Paula at the Shriners at the Rhode Island Shriners where I wanted to host the event.

And from there I had the meeting.

And then I had ideas.

And those ideas turned into something completely different.

And then Paula had ideas and then presenter has had ideas and it all unfolded and I just kept saying,

I'm just saying yes,

If somebody wants to do this or they want to experience this so they want to try this.

I said yes.

And my job I felt was just to hold the space for it.

So now I've completely released the energy.

It's out there in the ethers and I hope to do more like this in the future.
