Sitting or lying comfortably,
Close your eyes gently and bring your focus to all parts of the body connected to the support underneath you and to the earth underneath that.
Noticing the natural rhythm of your breath as it comes in and as it goes out.
Each exhale relaxes your body just a little more down towards the earth.
Now bring your focus to the centre of your chest,
Your heart centre and just see if you can visualise a little light glowing there.
Perhaps it's a warm light or a white golden light like sunlight.
Start to feel that lovely warm and positive feeling or light travel into the rest of the chest and soften all the muscles in your chest and your shoulders.
Letting that light now and if you don't see a light just have the feeling,
The calming,
Warming,
Positive feeling travel down through your arms.
Relaxing each and every muscle that it passes through the wrists,
Into the hands and the fingers until you reach the tips of the fingers.
We'll just come back to the heart and start to let that light or that feeling of calm travel down the whole back.
Travel down into the belly,
Softening the belly,
Releasing through your lower back and your pelvis.
Let the hips relax all the way down into your thighs,
Over your knees and into your lower legs.
Feeling the legs comfortably heavy and relaxed here.
Through the ankles now and into your feet,
Relaxing each and every toe.
And finally just coming back to the heart where we started,
So really picturing that beautiful calming light or that feeling and let it wash all the way up into your face.
Softening your jaw,
Cheeks and relaxing the space between your eyebrows.
So the whole head and throat,
Neck,
Shoulders are filled with this light and feeling comfortably heavy and relaxed.
Perhaps now picturing this light all the way around the body,
So it's almost like a bubble around your body of protection and positivity.
Just know that you can keep this around you for as long as you need.
We'll finish by bringing the focus back to those parts of the body in contact with the support and the earth underneath.
Grounding back into the here and now.
And just starting to deepen your breath,
Drawing in new energy,
New oxygen with every inhale that you take and feel it flow through the body.
Any final tension just release with your exhales.
And when you're ready,
Slowly opening the eyes.
