Hello,
And welcome to Inside Timer.
My name is Georgiana Patek.
Dear one,
Life is for the living.
It sounds cruel now as my heart mourns another woman's passing.
A lioness.
A hunter who lost her fight with cancer.
And yet she lived.
She fell time and time again.
Picked herself up and lived.
There are so many moments in our day we lose to conventions,
Following the way of the world blindly.
Tiny,
Obedient,
Genetically manipulated drones.
It pains me to think that even the words awareness and mindfulness,
Which means so much to me,
Are being trampled over and thrown around so quickly,
Trivialized by trends.
Our core suffers so much outside wrapping,
Which instead of being discarded and recycled,
Gets patched or padded over incessantly.
How are we to hear?
How are we to believe our inner voice reduced to a murmur?
An almost inaudible whisper,
Muffled by what we think the universe.
The world we come from,
The womb,
The family,
The neighbors,
The teachers,
The colleagues,
Are not the universe.
Our heart leads there.
Our truth is the one sometimes so hidden we may think it impossible to find.
Please consider what you perceive as a fall,
Dear one.
What you think of as failure.
Instead it may be another tell that your path is not the one you chose,
But what others laid out for you.
Maybe instead of looking down so that you do not stumble,
You look up and let yourself fly.
As soon as you realize that the power of your soul,
The power of life,
Is more significant than you could ever possibly imagine,
That you are held and supported in ways we fail to comprehend,
As soon as you trust that strength and the fact that healing comes from within,
You feel light and supported at the same time,
Eager to be present,
Giddy at the thought of gifts of life.
Let's meditate together now.
I trust you've found a comfortable position where your back is supported and maybe your feet touch the ground.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Then a big exhale through the mouth.
Another one.
A strong inhale through the nose,
Then a long exhale through the mouth.
A third one,
Just like this.
Feel life spreading throughout your body together with your breath.
I invite you to become aware of the surge a mindful breath can bring within you.
Breathe in through your nose as deeply as you can,
Feeling the breath bathing your body from the inside,
Letting it cleanse as far as it can reach.
Release the stale air coming out through your nose slowly,
Aware of what it did for you,
Grateful for this miracle.
Let's do it together,
Relishing the peace just breathing brings,
Telling all other thoughts that they are welcome.
Of course they are welcome.
Maybe a little later.
For now,
Only breathing profoundly is required,
Feeling the cleanse and enjoying the release.
Let's do it together.
Let's do it together.
Let's do it together.
It is so painful to watch how lunatics have to do with the lives of so many,
How the misunderstanding of our most precious gift,
Life itself,
Creates so much damage and chaos.
The absolution of pain comes from within.
The enthusiasm of life comes from within.
We do not need diseases and disasters to remind us of life and love.
We are love.
Life is pure,
Sacred,
Unique.
We do not hold it for long.
The universe is pampering me incessantly.
There are lessons and gifts I receive gratefully,
With open arms and smiles.
I wish you that.
I wish you the serenity to see the stumbles and falls for what they are.
The strength to remember that you are held,
You are supported,
You are the child of the universe,
Unique and magnificent at the core,
Precious and protected.
Try,
Dear one,
To glimpse at the moment's notice.
What do you see?
My mousepad smiles with birds,
Deer and flowers.
My houseplants say hello with fresh blooms.
The humming of the heater drumming throughout reminds me there is heat.
The tea in my mug,
No longer steaming,
Still warms my cradling hands and makes me smile.
It's my favorite mug,
Made by other hands with love and care.
Each moment brings a gift.
Each moment is a gift.
Do you see it?
Thank you so much for letting me be your guide today.
Namaste.
