For our meditation tonight,
We're going to center first.
Again,
Let your feet connect with the energy of the earth to ground.
And breathe in.
And breathe out.
Again,
Breathe in.
Then breathe out.
We want to do a little mindfulness with you tonight.
So in being mindful.
We're coming fully into our bodies.
And we're beginning to be aware as we breathe of the breath as it comes in through the nose.
How that feels and as it goes out,
Either through the nose or the mouth.
So breathing in again with awareness of how the breath feels,
Being mindful.
And now be mindful of how your hands are resting.
Are they resting on your thighs?
Do you feel the fabric there underneath you?
Breathing in.
Breathing out with mindfulness.
When we bring our mind into it,
It brings us into awareness.
So be aware now of what you're hearing.
Is there a sound in the room?
Is there an inner sound that you hear?
Be aware of my voice as a sound.
Bring your awareness.
To your eyes.
Your eyes are closed.
Does it feel dark?
Grey.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Be aware of your body.
Is there tension any place in your body?
Breathe in and breathe out.
Again,
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
And bring your your awareness.
To your thoughts.
As you bring your awareness to the thoughts,
Did they all of a sudden stop?
Like they're caught in the spotlight.
And see if you can just.
.
.
Bring your awareness to the thoughts and maybe watch them from a distance.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
And breathe in.
And breathe out.
Now again,
Bring your awareness to any sensation in your body.
And if there's sensation in a particular place in your body,
Perhaps you'll want to just breathe into that part of the body.
As you breathe in and breathe out,
You can invite that part of the body to relax,
To release,
To let go.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Sometimes when one part of the body relaxes,
Another part of the body raises their hand and says,
Well,
What about me?
So just focus on any other part of the body that has some tension.
That's raising their hand.
And breathe into that place in the body.
Letting go of the tension We're going to do this meditation tonight so that you could use it as you're sleeping,
As you're going to sleep,
To relax yourself into sleep.
So focus first on your toes.
You could crunch them up a little bit if you want and release them.
Again,
Crunch them up a little bit and release.
Letting any tension go as you release.
And bringing your awareness up through the body to the calves.
Just focusing there,
Breathing into the calves.
Breathing out.
Just letting them release.
All the tension that might be there,
Just letting it go.
Now focus on your knees.
They do such hard work when they bend and fold.
Just bringing your awareness to your knees.
Any tension there.
Breathing that tension.
Breathing in and breathing out and releasing it.
And if you enjoy using a mantra.
You can bring the mantra into the body if you want.
It can be very powerful.
You can bring in hum on the in-breath and saw on the out-breath.
You can bring in love.
The word love.
Or peace.
Whatever feels right for you,
Just letting that come in.
Filling the knees with it.
And then continue to move up the body.
Focusing on the thighs.
Bringing in.
Peace to the thighs.
Love,
Letting them relax.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Letting your awareness move into your pelvic area.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Releasing any tension with the breath,
Any holding.
You may be holding something that you don't even know you're holding.
Just releasing it and letting it go,
Any anxiety.
Any angst.
Breathing in,
And breathing out and releasing anything that's holding in the pelvic area.
Very good.
Letting your awareness move into the abdominal area.
Again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Releasing any tension.
Letting ourselves soften.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Let the energy float up into the ribs.
Breathing in and breathing out and just let that energy soften there.
Softening the diaphragm.
Softening the lungs.
Releasing any tension.
Known or unknown.
Feeling yourself coming into a greater state of peace.
Calm,
Resting peace.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Letting your awareness come into the chest.
Come into the heart area.
And just breathe in and breathe out there.
Feeling the softening.
Any awareness that comes in,
Just breathe into that place of awareness.
Breathing in and breathing out and releasing any tightness,
Any tension.
Focusing on the back of the body,
The shoulders.
Often hold tension there.
And just breathing in and breathing out.
You might see sparkling light flowing into the shoulders and just releasing any tension there.
Letting it go.
You can come back to the mantra if you like.
Hum on the in-breath.
Saw on the out-breath.
More peace,
Love.
Light.
Let's not forget the hands,
So bring your awareness to the hands,
The fingers.
And any tension there,
Just breathing in and breathing out.
You can even curl your fingers in and release them out,
Letting go of the tension of the day.
Feeling the energy.
And the arms.
Breathing in and breathing out and just releasing any tightness,
Anything that you're holding,
Especially the elbows,
Releasing any tension there,
Releasing any tension around Or the shoulder,
The arm comes into the shoulder,
The joints there.
Just picture them flowing.
Like becoming softer.
Gentle.
Flowing energy there.
Releasing anything that we're holding,
Letting it go,
Letting it wash away.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Bringing your awareness to the neck.
Just breathing in and breathing out here.
Feeling it soften.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Bringing your awareness to your lips,
To your mouth.
Any tension there,
Just letting it go.
Bringing the awareness to your jaw.
Just releasing any tension in the jaw.
Anything that you've been holding on to that's no longer serving you,
Letting it go.
I shoulda,
I coulda,
I woulda,
Whatever you might be holding onto.
Letting those things go too.
Coming into this moment.
This moment that can be peaceful.
That can be joyful.
Bringing your awareness to where the neck and the head meet.
The occipital ridge.
Very.
Place that can hold some tension in the body and just breathing into that area.
And releasing and letting go of any tension there.
Breathing into the cheeks.
The nose,
The nasal passage.
And just releasing there as well.
Breathing into the eyes.
Releasing any tension there,
Releasing any tension around the brow.
Bringing your awareness to the top of the head,
To the crown.
Releasing the air.
Releasing any energy around the ears.
And as we come back to the brow,
To the crown,
To the top of the head,
Perhaps you see light there.
Just envision or know that it's there this light of the divine where we connect to the divine And invite the divine to pour liquid light,
Liquid love into your body.
Pouring it into all the places that you've released tension from.
Feel it filling all of those places now as it pours down through the body.
Perhaps it feels like honey pouring down into the body,
Filling all those places that have released tension.
With liquid love,
Liquid light.
Letting it pour all the way down to the feet.
Filling the body with liquid love and liquid light.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And if you like,
You can invite this liquid light,
Liquid love to flow into your emotions,
Filling your emotions with light and love.
Flow into your mental body of thoughts.
Filling those with light and love.
Flowing into the soul body.
That houses our pure essence,
That houses our light.
And letting the light from the divine,
This liquid love and liquid light mix with our life.
Feeling now the whole body filled with light,
Filled with love,
And feeling the energy around the body.
That goes out about three feet like an egg shaped all around the body.
Let that fill with light and love too.
So that you're protected in this light,
In this love.
You're cocooned in light and love.
And if you're doing this meditation to go to sleep,
You can let yourself drift softly into sleep.
Knowing that you're protected.
By the divine.
You're loved by the divine.
And you are the divine.
This inner light is always within you that is the divine.
Wishing you a beautiful evening filled with love,
Filled with light.
Filled with peace.
Namaste.
