Release Into the Flow,
A Silk Veil Movement Meditation with Gia Lady.
Today we look at how,
When we release into the flow,
We allow for ourselves to find new movement pathways,
New ideas,
And we allow ourselves to slip into our natural places and the universal ongoings without having to cerebrally find them.
Often we try so hard that we thwart our own efforts.
Today with your silk veil,
Practice the release and surrender as we dance with our veils.
I invite you to bring your body into blissful flow with your silken tool to smooth out your mind,
Reduce stress,
And become one and find clarity with whatever you're trying to do.
So turn off your mind.
Don't think about what should happen,
Moves you should do,
Or tricks you should attempt.
No thoughts,
No distractions,
And no expectations.
Surrender to the dance and release into the flow.
We begin.
Deep breath.
Begin to move and sway as the music takes you,
Surrendering as if floating downstream.
The only control you have is slight bits with your paddle or your body moving to articulate where you go.
Become one with your breath.
Let legs and hips move you as you change weight side to side,
Front and back,
And flick the veil side to side in infinite patterns around the body.
The silk is the flow.
The silk reminds us of our necessity to keep going.
Turn off your mind.
No reason to control this dance.
Breathe.
Expand your ribcage back,
Opening up into the ribcage and letting the silk and your movement take you into the space behind yourself,
Flowing there in this new unseen space,
Surrendering to the flow of breath in and out of lungs.
Each moment is an opportunity to surrender deeper to the flow.
If you come out,
Surrender back in and slip the flow back on.
Feel your silk responding to the beats.
No thoughts.
Let the silk become part of the song,
Your movements as part of the music,
Exactly as you are,
Nowhere to be but here.
The music,
Breath,
Beats,
Express.
Let the silk be big,
Catching so much air.
Unify body in the silk into the core of your very being,
Muscles unifying tips of fingers into the center of your abdomen and back out,
The flow within and without.
Release the judgments of what you think you should be and surrender to what you are.
Just be what you are.
Let the silk slow.
Slow,
Relax.
Stay surrendered to the flow of all that is and remember you are the flow and part of the universe all the time,
All the time.
