In this two-module course, you’ll learn the traditional framework behind Yoga Nidra, the science showing how it supports emotional balance and nervous-system repair, and how to explore the practice through the koshas which are the layers of body, breath, mind, and inner awareness. Module 1 introduces the eight stages of the practice, along with modern research showing how Yoga Nidra calms stress circuits, slows brain activity, and improves sleep. You’ll finish with a short guided session using rotation of consciousness and pairs of opposites. Module 2 explores Yoga Nidra through the koshas, moving from body and breath into thoughts, intuition, and quiet presence, supported by a fully guided practice to help you get a good nights sleep. No experience is needed. Simply lie down, listen, and allow deep rest to unfold.

Foundations And Science Of Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is more than relaxation, it’s a structured path into deep restorative rest. In this opening module, you’ll learn what Yoga Nidra is, how it differs from meditation, and why its traditional framework matters. We explore the eight stages of the method. You’ll also learn simple, accessible science showing how Yoga Nidra shifts the nervous system into a calm, parasympathetic state: stress circuits soften, brainwaves slow, and the body unwinds. Research suggests this practice may improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and support emotional regulation. This module concludes with a short guided experience where you’ll explore settling, body awareness, and pairs of opposites — offering a practical taste of Yoga Nidra’s calming effect.

Yoga Nidra Through The Koshas : Sleep Support
In this second module, we explore Yoga Nidra through the koshas, the traditional map of the self. This framework guides awareness from the physical body, to breath and energy, to thoughts and emotions, to quiet inner clarity, and finally into peaceful presence. This layered approach is commonly used in Integral Yoga, where Yoga Nidra is taught as an inward journey through these subtle dimensions. We look at each kosha in simple, practical language and explore why this inward movement helps calm the body and mind.
