Ce que vous apprendrez
This course introduces you to the five vayus— yogic and Ayurvedic concepts that describe how life force energy moves through your body. You'll learn to recognize and work with these energy patterns to help balance your internal rhythm and create natural flow. You can expect a blend of ancient wisdom and practical application designed to help you feel more alive, balanced, and whole. The Five Vayus: ~ Prana Vayu (consumption) - energy entering through your five senses ~ Samana Vayu (digestion) - how you process food, information, and emotions ~ Vyana Vayu (circulation) - energy flowing outward through movement and activity ~ Apana Vayu (elimination) - releasing what no longer serves you and finding your ground ~ Udana Vayu (intention) - expressing yourself and moving forward from a place of centeredness This experiential course emphasizes feeling and embodying these energies in your daily life. Through guided reflection and meditation as well as practical awareness exercises, you'll discover which energy patterns you naturally lead with and which ones need more attention. The goal is to help you balance the forces of distraction, depletion, and stress that are common in modern life, allowing you to tune into your body's natural rhythms and support its innate healing abilities. You'll emerge with greater vitality and a more intuitive understanding of how to work with your energy rather than against it.

Leçon 1
Overview Of The Energetic Vayus
In this lesson, we explore the five vital energies known as the vayus—Prana, Samana, Vyana, Apana, and Udana—that govern how we interact with and process the world around us. These subtle yet powerful forces work together to create a complete cycle of energy flow within the body, from absorbing experiences through our senses to expressing our inner wisdom. Understanding and balancing these five vayus offers a framework for cultivating greater awareness of how we consume, digest, circulate, eliminate, and direct the energy that shapes our daily lives.
Leçon 2
Awareness Of Prana Vayu
In this lesson, focused specifically on Prana Vayu as the “energy of consumption”, we invite you to explore your relationship with the sensorial experiences - sound, sight, touch, taste and smell - in the world that surrounds you.
Leçon 3
Prana Vayu - Meditation
In this meditation, we explore Prana Vayu through the five senses, first tuning into the senses and then tuning out. The meditation invites you to draw awareness to focus to creating balance through the senses and to create a sense of personal control over what you consume.
Leçon 4
Awareness Of Samana Vayu
In this lesson, we look at Samana Vayu as the energy of digestion. In Ayurveda, how we digest energy can often be more important that what we are actually digesting. This applies not only to food but also how we process our experiences and our emotions. Learning to digest the energy we consume is an essential component of Living the Vayus.
Leçon 5
Samana Vayu - Meditation
In this meditation on Samana Vayu, we'll work with the physical seat of Samana Vayu and our digestive fire (agni) in the body - the navel center. Guided by gentle breathwork, rest and spaciousness, we'll give Samana Vayu an opportunity to find balance.
Leçon 6
Awareness Of Vyana Vayu
In this lesson, we look at Vyana Vayu - or energy expenditure. Vyana vayu circulates energy around the body and radiates it outward. When in balance, Vyana Vayu gives you presence, connection and can even defy the laws of attraction because the energy you are emitting is so powerful and compassionate that everyone feels drawn to you. When Vyana Vayu is out of balance, we deplete ourselves by expending too much energy, leading to burnout, frustration, overwhelm and sometimes anger.
Leçon 7
Vyana Vayu - Breath Meditation
In this meditation on Vyana Vayu, we'll work with the breath to circulate energy and radiate it outward. This is an active meditation practice in which the energy - as prana or life force - is moved by the breath.
Leçon 8
Awareness Of Apana Vayu
In this lesson, we'l increase our awareness of Apana Vayu as the energy of elimination and grounding, including specific physiological functions that give us an indicator of your current state of Apana Vayu. We'll also start to more deeply connect all of the Vayus we have explored up until now - Prana, Samana, and Vyana - to Apana Vayu.
Leçon 9
Apana Vayu - Meditation
In this meditation on Apana Vayu, we'll cultivate a deeply grounded energetic force that allows you to release and let go of any holding patterns or blockages that may be hindering Apana Vayu. To get the most out of this practice, please give yourself permission to surrender into rest. NOTE: There are intentional moments of silence and pause in this meditation.
Leçon 10
Awareness Of Udana Vayu
In this lesson, we will explore the energy of Udana Vayu, or the energy of intention and forward action. In this course, we ask you set your intentions AT THE END to ensure we have first worked with all of the preceding vayus - Prana, Samana, Vyana and Apana - to balance our energy and tap into our own intuitive nature.
Leçon 11
Udana Vayu - Meditation
In this meditation on Udana Vayu, we will align all of our Vayus to allow for a deeply intuitive and self-honoring process of setting an intention and moving forward in the world. Once you have completed this course, you can always come back to this meditation to realign your Vayus and revisit your intentions.
Leçon 12
Living The Vayus - Closing Session
In this lesson, you'll create an action plan to develop specific, small steps you can take in your day to balance your Vayus. We'll reflect on Apana Vayu as an energetic force to prioritize when developing a path for moving forward.
