So many of us struggle with the voices inside our heads that tell us we aren’t good enough, or smart enough, or that we don’t deserve to be happy, or even to just sit down and relax! Many tactics aim to dismiss, overpower, or defeat our Inner Critics, and although these strategies may work in the short term, the Critics often resurface because the wounds underneath them haven’t been healed. In this course, instead of masking over your Inner Critics or casting them away, I will guide you through getting to know them better, making friends with them, and learning to love your Inner Critics. When we take the time to listen to the fears of our Inner Critics, we essentially reparent ourselves, offering the wisdom we have accumulated throughout our lives to the smallest, most vulnerable parts of us. When these parts feel heard and safe, they relax, and we can then perform with a sense of ease and flow instead of being stuck in a never-ending fight with ourselves.

An Introduction To Inner Critic Work
In this introductory session, we will talk about some of the most common approaches to overcoming the Inner Critic, why these tactics don’t work, and how to begin a practice that helps us to heal the wounds behind our Inner Critics instead of engaging in the endless cycle of battling our own minds.
Leçon 2
Understanding IFS Inner Critic Work
In this lesson, we learn the foundations of Internal Family Systems and identify the 7 most common Inner Critic types. This session provides the basis for the work in the upcoming sessions.
Leçon 3
Getting To Know Your Inner Critic
In this session, we use a guided meditation to get to know one of our Inner Critics. Being able to recognize our Critic's cues will help us to identify when our Critics are present, and over time will help us to learn to respond to them more quickly so that they relax back and let us lead from a state of calm and confidence.
Leçon 4
Inner Critic Vs Self Energy
In this lesson, we talk about the differences between Self Energy and the energy of our Inner Critics. I will also give examples of the polarizations that can arise when our Inner Critics are present. Becoming aware of our internal dialogues is the first step towards recognizing that the thoughts of our Inner Critics are just one part of us and not representative of our whole being.

Self Energy Path Meditation
In this session, we will start by defining Self Energy and then use a formal meditation to experience Self Energy firsthand. Becoming familiar with the feeling of Self Energy helps us to respond to our Inner Critics with love and wisdom instead of reacting to them from a place of heightened emotion or frustration.

What It Means To Unblend And Befriend
In today’s session we discuss strategies to create space for our Inner Critics so that we can better understand their origins, motivations and intentions.
Leçon 7
Un-blend And Befriend Practice
In today’s lesson, we briefly review the 6Fs of Internal Family Systems and then embark on a guided meditation to help you un-blend from and befriend your Inner Critic.
Leçon 8
Design Your Inner Champion
In this session, we talk about the superpowers of the 7 Inner Critics and what their Inner Champion counterparts could look like. We also discuss the step-by-step process of creating your own unique Inner Champion.
Leçon 9
Build You Inner Champion Meditation
In this final session, I will guide you through a meditation asking you questions about past support and role models, and current support and inspiration. We will then combine it all to make a personalized Inner Champion to soothe and encourage your Inner Critic.

Thank you Koelle this course has been so helpful. I have worked with IFS for many years. It's a life long process! I was able to spend some valuable time with my inner critic and champion. I have listened to many IFS talks, meditations and have participated in IFS therapy myself for a year now. Koelle’s course (and other IFS meditations on insight timer) has been one of the most helpful tools in this process. I am sure I will utilize further, thank you!

This was presented in an easy way to apply IFS work. I have a reasonable understanding of IFS coming into this course and I think that helped. I can tell I need to listen to this course multiple times and pause the recordings in order to really apply the guided work. It moves too quickly to really take in the instructions and have time to process responses.
