In this course, you can expect to learn about the nervous system, the role of our emotions, the physiology of the mind-body connection as well as many other aspects that facilitate our somatic emotional experience. Each lesson culminates in a somatic meditation designed to allow the listener to experience the specific emotion of the lesson and begin learning what that emotion feels like in their body to begin developing a stronger communication and connection with our inner emotional landscape.

The Mind-Body Connection
Welcome to Day 1 of this course where our goal in this lesson is to familiarize ourselves with our mind-body connection in general. We will be walking through some education on the topic and then moving into a visualization exercise to experience the mind-body connection in action.

Welcome to Day 2 of this course where our goal in this lesson is to familiarize ourselves with our inner landscape when we experience fear. We will be walking through some education on the topic and then moving into a visualization exercise to experience what elements of fear feel like in our bodies.

The Somatic Landscape of Sadness
Welcome to Day 3 of this course where our goal in this lesson is to familiarize ourselves with our inner landscape when we experience sadness. We will be walking through some education on the topic and then moving into a visualization exercise to experience what elements of sadness feel like in our bodies.

I found this course very helpful. I will revisit it. The biggest surprise for me was the difficulty I had with the Joy session. The explanation also about Gratutude exercises being best practised when we are at least in a Neutral state,not a sad state. Thank you Danielle.
