Leçon 1
The Exhalation Process
In this lesson, we examine how many of us restrict our exhalation process. Holding in, repressing, and cutting off a full body release through our exhale. Exhaling deeply invites us to express and allow what is held in our body to move through and make way for new energy to come in. While limiting a full exhalation may have been defensive, protective and helpful at one point in our lives, now it is preventing us from letting go of the old and outdated. It stops us from expelling carbon dioxide and can create a build-up of dense energy and tension in our bodies over time. The two techniques explored today help us to connect more deeply to a full-body exhale. An invitation to return to the unrestrictive diaphragmatic breathing of babies who simply release, let go and let down. Such depth of breath elicits suppressed emotions, bringing them to the surface to be felt and expressed. The first technique explores letting go with the use of sighing and sounding out what is lingering in our body. The second technique places emphasis on a long exhale through curled lips which helps to expand and elongate extraction of micro-tensions, ultimately connecting us to states of deep calm, rest and digest as we activate the parasympathetic nervous system and return to states of equilibrium.
Leçon 2
The Inhalation Process
In this lesson we explore the inhalation process as a reflection of our ability to receive and take in what we need in the amount that we need for our greatest good. Some of us are more comfortable in the giving role and we may struggle to sit in the passive position of allowing. Listeners are invited to notice the quality of their inhalation and whether or not breath flows in effortlessly and deeply or if there are sticky parts that prevent us from fully taking in. This practice encourages breathing deeply into our Hara as a way to nourish and replenish our cells, prioritize our own needs and restore our own life force energy. Connecting to the divine feminine energy of nuturing with our breath, we consciously draw it into each part of our body and auric field. Intentionally channeling new oxygen, we focus on filling our own cup as we return to states of well-being.
Leçon 3
The Inhale and Exhale Process
In this lesson, we explore the idea of finding balance and flow between both the inhale and exhale process. Recognizing the importance of both giving and receiving, yin and yang, inhaling and exhaling. Envisioning our breath as one continuous loop that both nourishes us and helps us to release what no longer serves us. A never-ending wave in the same body of water. Our breath is that great connective force that unites us within and towards our greater surroundings. Grounding us into the present and linking us to the planet in an intricate and interdependent relational dance. This lesson guides listeners to restore balance by consciously breathing into each chakra as we both take in and let go in order to restore balance and harmony.
