Leçon 1
Day One: What Is Meditation?
Today we learn the definitions of both yoga and meditation as well as their history. We discuss ideas regarding the best time of day to meditate and what it might mean to do it "right," as well as what do do when distractions arise. We learn the 4 different types of classical meditation and we do a brief breathing meditation to set the tone for the week.
Leçon 2
Day Two: Breathing Meditation
The first of the 4 types of classical meditation is breathing. Regardless of the type of meditation we are practicing, we will begin by connecting with our breath, but in a breathing meditation we try to make this our sole focus.
Leçon 3
Insight Meditation
In today's lesson we explore insight meditation, the primary objective of which is to free the mind from identifying with thoughts. A very typical example of insight meditation is the body scan, which we will practice today.
Leçon 4
Day 4: Inquiry Meditation
Inquiry, or as it sometimes called, self-inquiry, meditation, is a focus on subtle rather than physical objects. Subtle objects are feelings (not thoughts!) such as gratitude. Benefits of inquiry include personal growth and self-awareness.

Day 5: Summary And Loving Kindness Meditation
On our final day of the course we summarize what we have learned thus far and learn about and practice the final technique, loving kindness. A primary objective with a consistent meditation practice is arriving at a place of equanimity, and a loving kindness meditation can help us achieve that.
