In this meditation.
We're going to work with parental overwhelm.
And we're going to start.
By imagining.
That from the bottom of your feet.
There are roots.
Roots going deep.
Into the soil.
Through your floorboards.
Underneath your house.
Into the ground.
Tethering you to the earth.
And there is so much uh.
Holding you.
An abundance.
Of Earth beneath you.
And you might.
Ask the question.
How much a is holding me.
Sometimes when we're feeling overwhelmed.
We also feel very alone.
That you are being held by the earth.
The rest of the world is with you.
And we're going to imagine.
Capability.
Capability.
And strength.
Coming up.
Through your feet,
Through those tree roots.
Roaring resource from the soil,
From the earth.
Coming up into your legs and your body.
Like you're a big tree trunk.
And we're going to imagine.
All of the different things.
That are causing you to feel overwhelmed.
All of the mental load.
Of being a parent.
And for each of those things.
We're going to imagine.
Shooting out a branch from your trunk.
To hold that thing.
Almost like creating.
Cozy little nest.
For everything that's causing you pain.
To feel overwhelmed.
All of the things that you're holding.
And if it feels like it's too much,
Just gonna focus your feet.
Imagine drawing up energy from the earth beneath you.
And for each new thing that comes in.
To remind you of all of the things that you have to do.
And have to be aware of.
We'll just shoot out another branch to hold it.
You can be aware.
Of all of these things.
But you don't need to be alert to all of these things.
You can be aware But you don't have to be alert to these things.
And from your base.
From your sturdy trunk.
You can look out over your branches.
With a little bit of distance.
And a little bit of perspective.
You are holding many things.
But you are also held.
Held by your roots.
Held.
By the uh And you might also.
.
.
Imagine.
Other trees.
Nearby.
And perhaps these are other people.
Who can support you.
Perhaps they support you in practical ways.
Or perhaps it's just supportive to know that they're there.
To know that you are not alone.
And perhaps your tree.
Without realizing it.
Is in a forest of many other trees.
Support it.
Connected.
And help.
And you can return to this idea.
Of the tree.
And bring as many branches.
As you need.
To hold all of the things that you're holding.
They don't need to spin around in your awareness.
They can settle.
And you can be aware of them and act upon them.
But you don't need to rush.
