And welcome.

I'm Evelyn Brooks.

This is a guided meditation to help you surrender to sleep,

Release the weight of the day,

And allow your body and mind to rest completely.

It's time to let it all go.

Let's begin by lying down in a comfortable position.

Allow your body to settle and your breath to slow.

Take a deep breath in,

And now out,

Slowly and completely.

Again,

In.

Breathe in deeply through your nose,

And breathe out through your mouth.

Let the breath slow you down.

With every breath,

Feel your body getting heavier.

Your muscles relaxing.

Your thoughts beginning to flicker less and less.

You've done enough for today.

Now,

It's time to journey into deep,

Restorative sleep.

Tonight,

We travel inward into a peaceful realm of your subconscious,

A place where you can rest and restore your mind,

Body,

And spirit.

Now imagine in your mind's eye a single candle flame,

Glowing gently in a dark room.

This candle represents you,

Your warmth,

Your light,

Your energy.

The flame dances slowly,

Steadily,

Calmly.

As you watch the flame,

You begin to feel your body relaxing beneath you.

With every breath,

You melt further.

With every exhale,

Stress just drips away.

Your forehead softens.

Your jaw loosens.

Your shoulders drop.

Your arms feel relaxed and warm.

You are safe.

You are still.

Let the day dissolve like melted wax.

Let your thoughts drip away like wax down the side of a candle.

As your thoughts quiet,

Begin to leave the day behind.

Your worries,

Your to-do lists,

Your racing,

Intrusive thoughts,

Just let it all go.

With every breath,

You drift farther and farther into the realm of rest.

Your body is even more relaxed.

Your breath is softer,

Slower.

You are floating on a cloud of peace,

Just stars above and sleep below.

As you fall into a deeper and deeper rest,

Into silence,

Into healing,

Into peace,

Sleep takes over.

Let yourself drift into quiet,

Into warmth,

Into rest.

Just allow sleep to come.

You are held.

You are whole.

You are at peace.
