Venus Direct: Aphrodite, Hathor

July 27, 2020: Join me to rediscover the energy and magic of Venus, Aphrodite and Hathor. Such a special time for Venus to be revealing her true nature, as the is direct and out of her shadow period. Listen to understand the energy shifts during this period.

Hello and welcome.

Welcome to Everything is Energy and welcome to the end of July 2020.

As I'm recording today,

We're just a couple days before some interesting aspects of retrograde season for Mars and Venus.

First,

Mars.

While Mars won't actually turn retrograde until this September,

Mars is beginning to slow down.

On the 25th of July,

Mars goes into its shadow period,

Preparing us for when it goes retrograde in September.

And Mars is the planet of drive,

Of energy,

Assertiveness.

And so you might start to feel,

Just notice in the next end of July,

August,

Things slow down.

You might even feel the energy drop.

That's something to fight against,

But it's just a note that now's a good time to make headway on things that are important to us,

To just tell the universe one or two more times where we're headed.

Next we have Lady Venus.

Venus has been in retrograde for quite some time.

She went direct on June 25th,

But she's actually going to come out of her shadow on July 28th.

And it's worth just imagining what the shadow period means.

So planets are normally seen in the skies moving forward.

And we call them retrograde because to the human eye it appears that they slow down,

They stop,

And then they go backward.

And that's what's technically termed retrograde,

Is the apparent backward motion,

But then they also appear to station stop and go forward.

But the shadow period encompasses all of that stop backward,

Even the forward momentum until the planet gets to the space where it was originally when it started retrograde.

So Venus is going to come out of this shadow period on July 28th.

Venus is,

Everybody likely knows,

Is the planet of beauty,

Love,

Values,

Of sharing.

And yet Venus is so much more than that.

I recently did an online gathering about Aphrodite and Venus as the Greek and Roman goddesses of love and sexuality.

And it was an interesting experience to prepare for that gathering.

And I think it's worthwhile for us to revisit this now.

We've likely heard some really wonderful stories about Aphrodite and Venus as these beautiful goddesses.

But also we've probably heard some stories about wanton sexuality and misbehavior.

And I want to offer a deeper perspective about Aphrodite and Venus who were simply the Greek and Roman version of,

I've come to understand,

A very similar goddess.

And this goddess,

As I'm sure you can imagine,

Existed well before the Romans and the Greeks.

So who was she before they came to quote unquote give their superior culture to the indigenous people of the land?

And also,

I've mentioned in a story before,

Rome's gift of superior culture wasn't such a gift to those who had their land taken from them,

To those who had their own indigenous tribes in places like Britain and all over Europe essentially.

Wherever Rome and Greek culture were,

It did look very superior,

But it almost lost its connection to the earth and definitely its connection to the lore and the stories these goddesses are too.

And I invite you to imagine that Venus and Aphrodite existed in a more broad and powerful feminine form.

One of the forms that I love for us to remember is Hathor,

The Egyptian goddess of love.

Hathor is a super powerful goddess.

There were more temples built in Hathor's honor than any other ancient Egyptian goddess,

Even Isis.

And her worship was very powerful in the Old Kingdom between 2686 and 2181 BC.

And she was known to bring not only love,

But fertility,

Passion,

Protection,

Health and abundance.

So you can see how her stead was not just sexuality,

It was a very broad version of femininity.

She was also a sky goddess associated with the sky,

The stars,

And water.

And she was often depicted as a cow or as a woman with a bovine horn headdress.

And she was known to be the mother goddess who gave birth to the sun every dawn,

Every time the sun rose.

So consider for a minute that Hathor and Aphrodite and Venus are variations of the same energy.

And while Venus above us,

As a planet in the sky,

Is getting ready to step into her full power,

We get to dig a little deeper and see what other ways,

What other gifts Venus Hathor might have for us.

And for that I want to invite you to spend a little bit of time with me imagining what it was like to be in Egypt during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut.

Queen Hatshepsut was an exceptional,

She was a pharaoh,

She was the second woman in all of Egypt to rule as a pharaoh.

She was the only one that ruled with the full power of a man.

And we often don't hear about Hatshepsut in a similar way that our culture has an interesting addiction to talking about the misdeeds of a woman.

If a woman is so put together there's no drama such as Hatshepsut,

She is often overlooked.

Hatshepsut was one of the most successful and powerful rulers of Egypt.

She was not known to be proud,

She was known to be powerful and humble and wise.

And Hatshepsut,

In several to many of her statues and her depictions in her temples,

Had a strong relationship with Hathor.

I'll post some pictures first of the head of a statue of Hatshepsut which not only shows her as beautifully feminine but on her head,

Her crown,

Is the horns of Hathor.

And even the serpent that's beneath the horns of Hathor as her crown also has Hathor's horns and the sun desk.

And Queen Hatshepsut had a temple at Deir el-Bahari where every single side of the four sides of a column were adorned with Hathor's image.

And her most sacred inner temple was dedicated to Hathor.

So there's something to be explored about the most impactful female pharaoh and her seeking to worship and be the embodiment of this goddess,

Hathor.

Hatshepsut had a very jealous onlooker who eventually murdered her and destroyed all of her visages at her temple at Deir el-Bahari.

I'll put a picture of that temple.

It's super beautiful.

And if you've ever read the book Where Pharaohs Dwell by Patricia Corey,

Patricia Corey,

Who I think is one of the most knowledgeable people about Egypt.

She's a seer as well as a historian.

She was there at some point during sunrise and at night and sunset and she caught pictures of these gods that were destroyed after Hatshepsut's death.

Their visages,

All their statues were destroyed in the temple but they were seen in the rocks as statues that could not be disarmed or torn down.

That also speaks to the power of the goddess,

That we as humans who mistakenly think that we are more powerful very likely don't understand the way the universe works.

And I want to offer next a practice where we really can meet Venus Aphrodite Hathor.

And I invite you to go with me now.

Close your eyes.

Bring yourself into a quiet,

Safe,

Sacred space.

And travel with me to Egypt.

We're going to go to this temple at Deir el-Bahari.

I hope I pronounced that right.

It's sunrise and you can see in the rocks above this vast and beautiful temple shadows playing in the hills.

It's quiet,

There's no one around and you're just witnessing the light play in the shadows of the hills.

And notice it's as if you can start to see shapes,

Figures,

Faces,

Animals.

The Egyptians as you likely know had gods that were part animal,

Part human.

Notice what you see.

Notice the energy that you feel.

And as the sun continues to make its way up in the sky you begin to walk towards this temple.

Making your way up the steps you can feel the energy rise.

You can feel the energy of not only Hatshepsut but Hathor vibrating,

Echoing through the corridors of this complex.

As you look up you can see Hathor's eyes looking down at you at the columns above.

And there's no sound,

Complete silence but the energy is so bright,

So vibrant.

You turn right and look down the vast corridor of this temple and begin to walk.

And as you walk you sense that you're not alone.

This super high vibrational energy begins to coalesce and manifest out in front of you as a figure,

As a goddess.

And you stop and allow this energy to take form.

And notice now what you see.

This is Hathor,

The Egyptian goddess of love,

Fertility,

Compassion,

Protection,

Health and abundance.

And as you look into her eyes,

Notice that you can see through her eyes as if she's showing you the vastness of her power.

That's not her,

It's just coming through her for you right now.

And she now extends a ray of her energy out towards you and it begins to circle around you.

First around your feet and it spirals up around you,

Filling you with her light,

Filling you with her love.

And as it gets to the top of your head,

It explodes as if a giant firework heads out throughout the universe.

And this is her greeting for you,

This is her gift of love for you.

And now notice if there's any question you might have for this goddess.

It might be about the topic of love,

It might be about health or abundance or protection.

Anything that you could use her wisdom,

Her assistance with.

She's here for you now,

So go ahead and take some time to commune with this goddess.

You can speak with your words,

You can speak from your heart,

You can simply speak with your energy and feel her energy still gently swirling around you.

Wonderful.

Notice if she has anything to share with you in regards to your request,

In regards to anything at all,

Listen with the ears of your heart to her energy,

To her message.

This Egyptian goddess of love is very likely the powerful root of Venus in Aphrodite.

And maybe beyond words,

Just receive her energy,

Open your heart to receive her energy.

This mother goddess who gave birth to the sun every dawn is infusing you with her light.

This is the wisdom of the goddess.

As some would say the great cosmic mother.

Not only loving but powerful,

Passionate,

Protective,

All knowing,

Fully abundant.

And as her transmission comes to a close,

Bow your head in a gesture of gratitude and acknowledgement for the gift that she has given,

The gift of her presence.

And she wants you to know that every morning at dawn,

She supports you in being reborn.

That there's everything right about where you're at.

And that you have the ability to call in everything that you need and she is here to support you in that remembering.

And feel the love,

The type of love that is present.

This all knowing,

All pervasive,

Powerful love.

So she's saying every sunrise you think of her.

This mother goddess,

This goddess of love.

And she's also inviting you to experience her via the celestial body known as Lady Venus in our modern world.

Her energy is also there for you.

Any other words or gestures of thank you before you turn to leave?

You can give them to this goddess.

And then suddenly she disappears and disintegrates back into this pulsing,

Humming energy that is throughout this temple.

And you turn to head back out the way you came.

Walking down the hallway,

You come to the entrance and heading down the steps out away from the temple.

You turn to look back up in the hills,

The gods and goddesses are showing themselves to you now.

All of them,

Always aware of you,

Greeting you,

Supporting you.

And notice as you look up in the hills,

As one appears,

Another disappears.

Continuing to move as the sun moves across the hills,

These gods are simply showing themselves to you as if to say,

We're your spirit helpers,

We're always here for you.

All you need to do is ask.

And then receive that wisdom,

That transmission into your heart and notice how safe and rooted and grounded you feel knowing that this entire Egyptian pantheon is always here for you.

And whenever you're ready,

Thanking the gods and goddesses,

Placing your hands over your heart and transporting yourself back to where you're listening to this recording,

Back to where you're seated or lying.

And as you open your eyes and look around,

Notice the colors a little bit brighter,

A little bit more clear as if this transmission you received from Hathor is an upgrade,

An activation.

It's as if she's shown you that you're supposed to feel more clearly,

See more clearly that is your birthright.

And as with all of these gods and goddesses,
