March 2020: Venus Goddess Emerging

Welcome to March 2020! We have Venus lighting up in the sky and in our astrology in early March. She is reminding us to the true nature of early goddess culture: light and dark, all half in balance. We remember Ishtar, Akkadian, and Inanna as early renditions of the Goddesses Venus and Aphrodite.

Hello and welcome.

Welcome to Everything is Energy.

I am recording on February 28,

2020.

And I want to share with you something really special that's emerging.

Well,

You can feel it right now when you look up at the night sky and the end of February and it's also making itself known in the beginning of March.

What do I mean?

I mean Venus as the goddess emerging.

And now,

Let's talk about what's happening right now.

And no matter when you listen to this,

I wholeheartedly believe that these recordings capture the energies and encapsulate them.

But still relevant if you listen to this sometime around the end of February or early March.

If you have a chance to walk outside and take a look up at the night sky,

You will see La Luna,

The moon,

As silver or white and growing and waxing.

So she's becoming this tiny little sliver and then getting bigger every day.

And on the first of March,

The moon shines in front of the constellation Taurus.

And on these evenings,

The end of February and into early March,

The moon's waxing crescent is directly pointing us to look and to find the dazzling planet Venus.

Venus sits closer to the sun had sunset excuse me horizon than the moon.

But she should still be visible and shining brightly.

As both of these bodies,

Heavenly bodies,

The moon and Venus are the third and second brightest celestial objects in the sky,

Respectively only after the sun.

So if you can look up and connect with the moon and connect with Venus,

Awesome and no matter what listen,

No matter when you listen,

Know that their energies are present right now.

And this is also shown is at the start of March Venus is quite active,

Astrologically speaking.

I'm just going to touch lightly on the themes and then get to her her legend.

On March 3,

Venus is in the sign of Aries and she's going to come to square Saturn and Pluto.

And now Venus is not necessarily at home in Aries.

I've mentioned this earlier in an earlier broadcast,

Aries is action and freedom and Venus is security and home.

And so in this energy,

Venus is coming to square Saturn,

The planet of limitations,

Discipline and structure,

As well as Pluto,

The planet that informs our subconscious and supports our transformation.

So it might be tempting to want to break free from chains and limitations in a particular relationship or situation.

But Venus is really showing us there's nothing that needs to be so reactionary right now.

Because two days later,

She moves into her home sign,

One of her home signs,

Which is Taurus.

Venus is at home in both Libra and Taurus.

And so here we're going to feel the stabilization here.

If we need to,

We're going to be supported in speaking.

And it's also worth noting that a couple days later,

On March 8,

Venus makes a conjunction with the planet Uranus.

So here might be a time where we get to redefine how we view ourselves,

How we value ourselves.

And Uranus might be supporting us and taking a completely different perspective on our own self-worth.

So this brings us to Venus as the goddess emerging.

And let's start well,

Let's start with there's a painting done by a Renaissance artist,

Which is I think interesting to note as we consider what we know about Venus and what we don't.

Lady Venus is depicted by Renaissance artist Botticelli.

He painted her sometime in the 1480s.

And he depicted this beautiful young goddess standing in a shell as if coming towards land from the ocean,

Arriving at shore after birth and she's now fully grown.

And she has all the makings of what we still hold as the modern goddess.

She's soft,

She's curvy,

She's got beautiful facial features,

She's got soft flowing hair.

So she is this classic symbol of beauty,

Which our collective holds today.

And on land in this picture,

I'll put a link as I always do to my blog and I'll put this painting up so that you can have a look.

On land there are lesser goddesses awaiting her,

Holding out royal garments to robe her.

And so her depiction is soft,

Demure,

The classic sense of beauty,

Nothing offensive,

Nothing threatening.

And gosh,

This reminds me of the goddess course that I'm teaching online right now where we come to discover that everything we think we know,

Not that it may not always be true,

But there might be a far more deeper,

Complex,

Powerful story.

So here we go.

This is an offering and as always,

Take only what feels true for you.

As we seek to rediscover ancient truths,

Ultimately,

We are each our own best guide.

So Venus's life story,

Her awareness,

She's been discovered as being talked about for over 5000 years.

And her story is interesting.

It's multifaceted,

It has to do with our sexuality,

With how we portray and understand female power in the female body.

And,

Well,

Venus is actually also the Roman name for the Greek goddess Aphrodite.

And both of these goddesses were sort of understood to have arrived from some sort of primordial water.

And I'm going to try to tell the this Venus Aphrodite story in the most consumable but informative way possible.

As the story for me when I first came to understand it was a little bit shocking,

But it was also quite interesting.

So it was understood and believed that Gaia,

Mother Earth,

Was in courtship with the sky god Uranus.

So Gaia became unable to tolerate the amount of copulation that the sky god Uranus was seeking from her and she persuaded her son Cronus to remove his father's reproductive parts.

And there lies the most graphic part of this podcast.

Hopefully that's consumable.

So these parts were then tossed into the sea.

And as they met the sea,

They created what was known as the awful and lovely maiden,

Excuse me,

The goddess Aphrodite,

Venus.

So the story is interesting.

And I really want to move beyond the sort of gruesome aspect.

I encourage you to take that as a,

As I like to call an energetic stamp.

Whether or not that was totally true,

The ancients realized that desire was transformative and sometimes in a good way and sometimes in a not so good way.

But the depiction of the goddess as being birthed in this way is interesting because it serves as a potential source of empowerment for us.

Why do I say that?

I say that because we are each light and dark.

We each have our good and bad aspects.

And we are each seeking to understand that we are light,

Love,

Gods and goddesses incarnate.

And so this story,

Well,

There's a few goddess stories.

This one about Venus Aphrodite is quite powerful.

And there's a lot of dialogue around sexuality and what it really meant.

And I really don't feel like putting a stamp on that.

I want to,

I want to invite instead for you to just,

As always,

Tune in with what feels good for you.

And I want to introduce next Ishtar,

Also known,

I hope I'm pronouncing this right,

As Akkadian.

And in Sumerian times,

She was known as Inanna.

She was the goddess of war and sexual love.

And her whole story is also in sync with Venus,

But the idea that she's got this power aspect to her,

But it seems both light and dark.

Inanna was a fertility figure.

She was the goddess of the storehouse.

She represented growth and beauty.

So she has a similar energetic signature to Venus.

And Ishtar,

Well,

Her primary legacy from the Sumerian tradition is the role of the fertility figure.

And it was after that she evolved into a more complex character and myths about death and disaster.

And there were different connotations about the forces that she brought.

There was fire and fire quenching.

There is rejoicing and there was tears.

There was fair play and there was enmity.

And Ishtar is also to a greater extent known as a deity associated with the planet Venus.

So this brings us full circle.

And I've mentioned a lot,

But I hope that you can see that as we look at these goddesses as energetic astral deities,

We're met with something that's more than just simply the light and the beauty and the contained power.

We're met with in ancient times,

The light and the dark aspects of them.

And I see them as almost embodying this sort of yin yang symbol,

Light and dark in balance.

And when we consider them this way,

When we allow them to expand beyond the container that is just simply beauty and love,

And they are certainly that and abundance,

But when we also let them be the darker aspects,

Something magical potentially takes place.

Within ourselves,

We can consider and accept ourselves fully light and dark.

We can accept all of us.

Notice how that feels for you.

So there's no more needing to be changed.

There's no more out there tomorrow.

Once my third eye opens,

Once I figure out my relationship with my family,

Then I'll be no what they're pointing us to is now.

And to really sort of invite this deep self acceptance,

This deep self love.

So I invite you to consider that these goddesses Venus,

Aphrodite,

Ishtar are always pointing us to they're always reminding us of our power and our divinity,

Of our inherent worthiness and of our perfection.

All right,

So we're going to get to practice and before we do,

I just want to insert that this year 2020 is slated to be a very transformational time for us.

And I mentioned in an earlier broadcast,

We had a Saturn Pluto conjunction around January 12,

And that hadn't happened for over 1200 years.

And it's keying or queuing up something that's going to really be present at the end of March.

But we're feeling it right now,

The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.

And this is going to help us revisit whatever theme came up on January 12.

We're going to see it again,

Magnified at the end of this month,

March.

And I believe that these goddesses,

Renditions of the same goddess potentially are showing up right at the start of March on our horizon,

We can see Venus in the night sky,

She's lighting up our astrological understandings,

As if to say,

Take a look at what I really am here to share with you.

And I invite you to consider that it is this deep full self acceptance of yourself as light and dark,

Of all of you,

All the aspects of your human incarnation.

And just notice if you took a little bit of a deeper breath,

As you entertained that notion.

Alright,

So now let's get to a practice.

Find a quiet sacred safe space.

Sit or lie with a straight spine.

Close your eyes.

And imagine yourself sitting or lying outside in the night sky.

The stars above the moon,

Lifting off the horizon,

The planet Venus just below her.

And as you connect to the planet Venus,

Feel her light streaming towards you.

Feel your own physical body informed,

Lit up,

Loved and charged and met by her light.

And then feel your your field your aura.

Receive the same energy,

Light,

Love.

The same energetic charges infusing all of you.

And a lady Venus is inviting you to take a look.

So imagine part of yourself standing up and walking out to a vast field underneath the night sky.

And as you look to your left a timeline unfolds of every single moment of your life.

All the way back to your first breath or potentially the time before you took your first breath.

And as you look back,

Notice what you witness and you might imagine these bubbles as if miniature television shows or many videos are popping up showing you every experience that you've had light and dark.

And they're all just playing out over this timeline.

And you're just simply witnessing them.

And as you're witnessing them,

Notice what happens.

The energy that is you is lifting up out of those stories out of those experiences.

Above these bubbles of little mini videos of every experience there's this there's this force there's this vibration that's lifting up and beginning to travel towards where you are right now.

This energy that is you is coming back to you now.

Under the guidance and the support of Venus,

All the aspects that are you are able to be integrated into who you are today so as to allow you to just simply be you and feel the power that's there.

So much more than a deeper level of self acceptance.

It's this vast sea of self love.

So all of this energy is being pulled and brought coming to meet you right where you're at.

And as you're standing in this open field underneath the stars now look to the right,

Your future.

Look out out out.

Maybe find one thing that you truly in your heart want to see for our planet,

For the world,

For yourself.

And notice there's this bubble of light that's right there playing the scene.

And notice also all these other smaller,

Tinier,

Medium size videos of your experience that's paving the way to that final manifestation.

And as you're witnessing this,

All of that energy that from your past that just came to you is now coming through you as if coming through the back of you and now moving out the front of you as you're facing your future.

All of this energy that is you is traveling out forward to meet these little bubbles,

Videos,

Movies of experience that are building towards this final realization.

And they're nourishing,

They're energizing,

They're empowering,

They're paving the way for your future.

And as you witness this energy and come to understand how it moves,

Notice if you can feel the perfection of everything.

The perfection of everything as you are right now,

The perfection of everything that is going to unfold.

All under the guidance of this goddess who knows and understands and embodies light and dark.

All is in balance,

She's saying and all as well.

And you know that you are light.

But also to be able to hold yourself in balance to allow those aspects that feel heavy or dark for right now to allow them to serve their purpose.

And again,

Notice if you take another deep breath,

Just coming to accept and love and allow you to be you.

You know,

Bringing all of your awareness back into your body.

Imagine that you're standing in that vast open field under the night sky and you're just going to travel back into where you were seated or lying underneath the moon and Venus.

Feel yourself whole.

This goddess is inviting you to understand that you are already complete unto yourself.

That you arrived perfect and that every single thing about you is worthy,

Acceptable,

Lovable,

Held in balance.

And feel as her light,

The light of Venus is again shining down,

Infusing your energetic field and fusing all the cells in your body,

Informing them that all is well.

And know in your heart that everything about your life has been your soul's perfect choice,

This incarnation so that you are listening to this practice right exactly when you listen and that you know that your life is unfolding,

Fully supported by the goddess and in perfect timing.

Just a few more moments here.

Wonderful.

And as you gently prepare to come back to your body before you leave that experience of sitting or laying out under the night sky with the moon and Venus,

Send the energy of gratitude,

Appreciation to the goddess for your new wisdom and knowing and understanding and ability to love and accept you.

Wonderful.

And now taking all the time you need to come back,

You can linger here for as long as you'd like and make a little post-it note to yourself that whatever's just come up for you,

Shifted within you is going to be supporting you through this month of March so that in the second half of March,

Whatever was activated or energized in January will be on an even bigger and brighter scale.
