This is a meditation to bring you into union with your creative energy.
Find yourself a comfortable seated or reclined position and let yourself become heavy in that place.
Feel the weight of your body against the surface.
Perhaps your feet are in contact with the ground or you can feel the curvature of your back resting into soft cushioning.
Maybe you have your eyes closed and a cover wrapped around them.
Maybe your eyes are open gazing at a flame of a candle or leaves of a tree in the distance.
Wherever you are,
Find your sense of comfort and then bring your attention to your breath.
Nothing forced or laboured,
Simply an observation.
Notice the rise and fall of the chest.
Become aware of the sensation of air travelling through the nose.
In and out.
And now gently deepen the breath.
Perceive the breath travelling into the chest and even further down into the belly.
Allow a slowing of each inhalation and exhalation.
Nothing too laboured but just a resting into a slightly deeper,
Fuller breath.
Let the body be heavy with each exhalation as you release the day that was,
The thoughts that came before this moment and all other things.
Become aware of the tongue.
Allow it to fall to the floor of the mouth.
Slightly soften the jaw,
Maybe the lips part.
Again,
Finding your comfort.
Inviting deeper rest with every breath.
Become aware gently of the crown of the head so you can scan down the body.
Follow your mind's eye across your nose and your lips,
The throat,
The shoulders,
The belly,
The pelvic bowl,
The hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
Shins,
Ankles,
All the way to the toes,
All the way to the feet.
Allow yourself to feel the back of your body.
Allow yourself to get a sense of your energy anchoring into your base,
Into your hips,
Into your belly,
Into your pelvic bowl.
Relax any effort in the breath.
Simply open your awareness to your body,
To your being,
To your whole self.
As you lie or sit and your mind might wonder,
Bring it back to the breath,
Either the sensation of the air travelling through the nose or the rise and fall of the chest or belly.
Allow your thoughts to be like clouds,
No need to hold on to them.
Let them pass through the sky of your mind.
And now I invite you to observe where it is in your being that the spark,
The seed of your creative energy lies.
Notice anything that becomes activated,
No need to effort too much.
Simply allow something to arise.
It surely will.
Without pressure or expectation,
What do you notice?
Where might there be a tingling,
A temperature of warmth,
A coolness?
Or where does your mind's inner eye descend into the body?
Where does there seem to be a signal,
A calling of your attention?
Allow yourself to focus in on this seed,
This spark of creative energy.
Does it have a colour?
Does it have a texture?
If it were an aroma,
What would it be?
Sense the multidimensional qualities of this place within that is your creative source.
Bring yourself close into its epicentre.
Perhaps you place your hand just near this area.
Allow your breath to deepen a little.
And on the inhalation,
Imagine,
Envision the oxygen travelling to that place,
That source of your inner creative energy.
Allow it to,
Like it would a balloon,
Expand that space.
Each inhalation an opportunity to grow.
See how large this creative space or this creative spark,
This energy with its colour or shape or image.
See how large it desires to become.
Breathe into that place gently but intentionally.
It might go beyond the limits of your being,
Your skin,
Your physical self or it might stay modest.
Just be with what is.
But know that it's there,
It's yours and it's a resource for you to be in communion with,
In co-creation with and in relationship with whenever you so desire.
And so as you feel the totality of this creative energy within,
As you breathe into this place with your attention there,
Perhaps your hand in contact with the skin or the fabric close to it.
Feel comforted,
Feel connected to this part of you,
This beautiful possibility.
And allow yourself to feel thanks and gratitude for this new wisdom,
This deeper relationship.
Maybe it has a message for you in this moment.
Let yourself receive an image and word and texture or in another type of understanding that's beyond language.
And say thank you.
And then let your awareness soften to the source,
To this energy and allow the breath to completely return to a natural rhythm.
And allow the energy to return back to where it came from,
Receding,
Returning,
Coming home to you.
I feel a sense of completion in this exploration.
And a sense of knowing for going forward in exploration with your creative endeavors.
Bring your awareness back to your breath,
Relaxing your hands and any effort of attention or awareness.
Allow your body to bask in the afterglow of this exploration and connection with your creative energy.
And now bring your attention to the whole of your body,
Your being,
Wherever it's seated or laying.
Feel your toes,
Your fingertips.
Allow the energy to return to them by moving them gently.
Feel your whole physical being heavy where you are,
But awakening with gentle movement.
And when you're feeling ready,
Bring your attention back,
Opening your eyes or blinking a few times.
You can place your hand on your heart and give thanks for what you've learned,
For what you've received and for this growing union with your creative energy.
Blessings.
