Where to start?
With this tiny ladybird on my finger,
Or perhaps the being that is me.
Each incredible,
Amazing,
Unique.
Each an infinitely tiny part of the whole creation.
Just two out of squillions.
Thousands of tiny cells within intricate systems,
Within systems.
Interconnected parts,
Working in harmony.
Well,
Most of the time.
Not always perfect,
But so close to it.
Our bodies are amazing.
Each system within working together.
The heart,
The lungs,
The muscles,
The digestive system,
The brain,
The nerves,
Our six senses.
Look around you and see how incredible nature is.
All its living and non-living components.
The ecosystems and weather patterns.
The geological formations and biological processes.
The tides and flows.
The solids and liquids.
Infinite variations of animal,
Vegetable,
Mineral,
Fungi,
Bacteria,
Archaea,
Protists and energy.
Time-lapse photography has opened our eyes to the details of this miracle.
Absolute wonder everywhere.
The insight,
The imagination,
The design,
The balance,
The construction,
The growth and continuance,
The power,
The strength,
The fragility,
The delicacy,
The intricacies,
The palettes,
The symphonies,
The textures,
The harmony,
The relationships,
The emotions.
I look with awe at this phenomena that is Earth that is Earth and the universe beyond with its stars,
Planets and other celestial bodies.
I look with awe at creation and its caretaker,
Mother Nature,
And I wonder,
Are they one or many?
Despite the tiny particles of brilliance,
Fragments of the genius,
The ideas and concepts and skills apportioned us,
We cannot match it.
I asked ChatGPT to provide a list of everyone I'd need to create just one eco-friendly retreat.
Thirty-seven different roles,
Apparently.
No wonder I'm in awe at Nature,
At our planet.
Is it one or more who have created and preserved this environment,
This place that we are so eagerly destroying?
I am in awe.
Awe.
Absolute wonder.
Everywhere.
